Juice contest...or just to kick-start my own ideas

I have had three good flavors so far...and I've only thrown away 2 batches of 3ml stuffs...so... I would like to see what you guys can help me come up with. Here's my list of materials:

Vegetable Glycerin USP Grade (Wizard Labs)
10% Nicotine Solution 100 mg/ml (100% VG Base) (tested, accurate)( Wizard Labs)

Flavor vials (All purchased from Wizard Labs)

Flavor - Group (TFA = The Flavor Apprentice LA = LorAnn LAN = LorAnn Naturals)

Black Cherry TFA
Butter LA
Butter Rum LA
Butterscotch LA
Butterscotch TFA
Caramel LA
Cherry LA
Chocolate LA
Clove TFA
Creamy Caramel LAN
Dragon Fruit TFA
Eggnog LA
French Vanilla TFA
Honey TFA
Irish Cream TFA
Maraschino Cherry TFA
Marshmallow TFA
Nutty Amaretto LA
Passion Fruit TFA
Peach LA
Royal Raspberry LA
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream TFA
White Chocolate TFA

Forgot to add I recently bought a 30 mL bottle of Pendragon from Mountain oak Vapors. I can mix stuff into that too!

So...I was thinking a batch of recipes, and the best three get recognition, a semi-professional critique and a free bottle of 10mL juice sent to ya! What do you think? Hell, If I can afford it, maybe 20 mL. I'm also hoping that maybe someone will find that magic mixture of flavors to clone the Whitchers Brew Level 1 Elixir, and providing the recipe, maybe tweak it a bit more to my liking. It's already an awesome juice and pretty much the only juice I've vaped since starting this whole second go-around in vaping.

I suggest starting by making a single-flavor bottle of each one. Get it the strength you like and write it down your percentage for future use. Vape a little of each alone and make notes on how each tastes. Then pick one you like best. Drip it in your carto/tank with other flavors to try together, keeping it mostly your favorite flavor. You'll come up with combos you like faster and will waste less this way.

Your preferences will probably differ from mine, but I'd try things like this:
Mostly white chocolate with a bit of black cherry or raspberry
Mostly French Vanilla with Eggnog (start with much more vanilla than nog)
if you like super-sweet, mostly marshmallow, some chocolate, bit of Maraschino cherry for a Cherry Mash flavor
Peach and dragonfruit make a good combo...maybe over vanilla ice cream
Chocolate with creamy caramel, can't go wrong there
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with some Irish Cream in White Chocolate?

Have fun with it - you have some good ones to experiment with. I'll leave clove ideas for someone else ;-)

My apologies for the wrong forum...recipes seemed a good spot, but now in hind-sight I'm thinking that section is for recipes, not experiments or something like this. I'll mind my P's and Q's next time.

Some of those are great, and I have started the whole separate bottle thing. It's time consuming to start and I can see why people love to have their own mixes and such. I'm trying the eggnog stuff soon ;) kinda missed christmas. I have a couple vanilla and sweets setup for steeping. I did cheat and used someones percentage chart that they found to work... We'll just see.

When you try that eggnog, vape just a tiny bit, and be prepared for nutmeg overload. You really should try it, then you'll see why I suggest so much french vanilla, lol.

It's not "cheating" to use percentage charts! At least it gives you somewhere to start. I start at 10% on TFA flavors but would do 5% on clove to start with. I haven't used those LAN flavorings.

I also used the charts, but find that most people can taste flavors better than I can. I've had to increase dramatically for me to taste them.

And don't throw away anything that hasn't steeped for at least a couple weeks. I made TFA Irish Creme and it was SO horrid, tasted like melted, burnt rubber. But I kept it and 2 weeks later, it had pretty much no taste at all, for me anyway.

The only thing I tossed after a week, was TFA Plum. Not about to vape my grandma's cheap floral bath powder. That's exactly what it smelled and tasted like. But....taste is subjective.;)

The recommendation of trying each flavor on it's own is a very good recommendation. It give you an idea on how each flavor taste and gives you a better idea of what flavors will complement each other and reduces disappointment when your combinations fail. Nothing worst then trying to make a cherry cheese cake mix and expecting it to taste like fresh picked cherries but find out the cherry flavor you used taste more like hall's throat losengers. You would have known that if you had tasted each flavor individually. Flavors can fool you that way.

+1 on mixing the single flavors first!!! :thumb:

Depending on the concentration of them, and how strong you like it,
they can take anywhere from 3 - 20% in the mix!!
(although 10% is a good place to start...)

I usually make 10 - 15ml of each flavor, and then you can combine them to make your other ones.
Start simple, like 1/2 one and 1/2 another.... and ALWAYS write everything down!! :D

Here is the most simple juice calculator that I have found:

For your next shopping spree ill suggest you 3 flavours

Aniseed
Liqourice
2 apples

All from flavorart

Then try mixing
1ml aniseed
0,3ml liqourice
15 drops 2 apples

For a 10ml batch
This mix tastes awesome... Its impossible to describe but it just hits all the right taste buds

Well. Thank you very much HeadInCloud and dannyv45. I found out why one of my brews was bad...way too much on a falvor. Vaping alone on a lower amount was much better!

Case in point for testing individual flavors first. Testing each individual flavor first lets you know how much to use and if the actual flavor is what is expected or completely off the mark taste wise for what your trying to accomplished in the final combined mix.

For me, it weirdly enough tastes like Pledge. Like I accidentally sprayed some into the air, walked into it and took a huff. Not bad, but not at all what I was expecting.

Man I'm glad you explained that. For a minute I though you were vaping pledge. Not quite what we ment when we mention how to make your vape shine:)
