hi folks, the title says it all, this is my first box mod, a bottom feeder 3.7v with a 510 atty, it leaks inside the box, sometimes it is on the battery side, is this dangerous? i am worried. i think it is the 510 atty, so i try not to pump as much but then it burns the atty. i guess i'm pumping too much? i'm trying to be very careful but it keeps on leaking.

i have searched these forums but can't find an answer. i did read about an o-ring for a 901, or 910 atty (not sure which) but can i use this on the 510?

my main question is, how dangerous is this? and is this common? thanks for your help.

Leakage can range from messy and annoying to making your mod not function due to short circuiting. In theory if you have protected batteries it shouldn't be dangerous. With that said, leakage is still bad.
What did you use to seal the battery connector hole? You might want to consider using a finishing washer as a catch cup. it would be on the outside of the box just carefully enlarge the hole until you can pressure fit it over the battery connector.

hi folks, thanks for your replies. i don't know how to post pics on a computer, i'm pretty much computer-challenged. also, i didn't make this mod i bought it from someone in the mod forum. that being said, i told my husband about the problem, he took a look at it and immediately thought of an o-ring. (it's definitely leaking from the atty area). once he screwed the o-ring on it stopped leaking, and that makes me happy lol.
