No need to remove the delrin piece at all, unless it's stripped. The diagram below is the one I think Sneakerhoarder was mentioning,
and you just have to loosen the center post nut (#1 on the diagram) and the center post
as well as the two o-rings that fit around it (#'s 2 & 3 on diagram, respectively) will come right out.
You do need to have both rings in place just as shown.
If not, clean it, put in new ones and put the assembly back on, get it snug, but not too tight as to mess up the delrin. Should be all good.
You can see in the diagram that if you pull out the center post, the two o-rings which are sitting on top of the center post nut will get pulled though
the opening in said nut, possibly damaging them. If you try to push the pin back in without removing the nut, you can damage them further.
I did it with my first TS, alot of folks have. But, if those rings are in their proper place and everything's tightened, your leaks should stop.

Oh, almost forgot, the #5 o-ring on the diagram is no longer used on the TS as it was found to be unnecessary, no worries about that.
My V1 aluminum TS had one, but not any of the later TS styles I've acquired, and the delrin seals perfectly on its own
