Why do juice suppliers not list the ingredients of their juices. Gosh. I read every ingredient on the label of the food I purchase and would like to do the same for juices. There are a few sites that have good rating juices but no ingredient listing. Are they afraid we will make our own? That does not make sense. There are amounts etc. to consider. When I buy a bottle of tomato sauce I am not planning on duplicating the recipe at home. Anyway it is frustrating.

Some do. Mostly it's

Propylene Glycol (PG)
Vegitable Glycerin (VG)
Nicotine (an extract - with other trace stuff from tobacco)
Natural and artificial flavors
--- sometimes----
Distilled water
Ethel Alcohol
Ethel Malto
sometimes some other stuffis.

But it's basically simple. You'll never get a complete list of flavors, and usually won't know which flavor vendors were used (and you don't with food either). Usually, the quality of the ingredients is more important, allergies not withstanding.

If you have food sensitivities, or are otherwise worried about the ingredients, do like stownz said and DIY your e-juice.

Flavorings, and their percentage is the unknown. It might be helpful look at some of the main sources of flavorings for juices mixed in the US, they are:

FlavourArt Flavourart. La sartoria degli aromi
Perfumer's Apprentice Perfumers Apprentice - Professional DIY Flavors
Capella Drinks For Diabetics | Homeopathic HCG Drops | Flavor Drops
LorAnn https://www.lorannoils.com/c-2-lorann-gourmet.aspx

There are a few suppliers that extract their own flavorings, but the majority of flavors are from the sources above. They range from about 1% total volume of your juice (example: coffee) to 25% (example: watermelon) and most flavors are in the 10-15% range. Most flavorings are in a PG base.

You almost have to think of it as getting food from a caterer who cooks in their own kitchen and protects their recipes. There are a few places with a store front, and I believe that Chinese juices are factory made.

I know DIY is not for everyone but it really is very simple, you know what is going into your liquids and if you only use a few different flavours it is pretty quick to make up enough in one batch to last months, so it's not like you have to tinker around all the time. It just means you can if you enjoy that sort of thing (which I do).

I think we're going to see more/better labeling and ingredient lists as time goes on. I've seen improvement in the short time since I started vaping.

Even the flavoring companies are recognizing our needs/requirements.

You would be hard-pressed to find an ingredient in juice that wasn't also in a cigarette, and that label takes as long to read as it does to smoke a pack.

Do you know every ingredient that was in the cigarettes you were smoking?

It would be nice to have a list, and I kinda wonder if some vendors aren't putting themselves in a bad position should it come out that inhaling product x is much worse for us than we think. If they list ingredients, we're taking the risk ourselves, but if we don't know that something is in a product, then they could be responsible. I direct your attention to the relatively recent realization that custardy flavors containing acetyl propionyl shouldn't be inhaled, though it's perfectly harmless to eat it. Those using it without telling us could find themselves in an actionable position.

Either way, it can't possibly be as bad for us as smoking...

What good would it by if they did?

Meaning, what is really learned when a company list "Artificial Flavorings" as one of their ingredients?

... or "Natural Flavorings". I'm thinking ear-wax would be a natural flavoring, even though ( I hope...) it isn't used for anything...

I think it's interesing to read. Especially with tobacco juices when you get little notes of different flavors. You read the bottle and think 'oh yea! I tasted that'. Aside from that, I don't see the point really.
