It's the cinnamaldehyde that reacts with the other liquid, clouding it. It will clear up with age. Anything that I make with red hots in it clouds up immediately. It's not an oil separation type thing. It's a chemical reaction. Nothing to worry about.

So why does the OP's e-liquid separate Every time he lets it sit for awhile?

My liquid gets cloudy, but it doesn't separate.

Mine definitely separates. It acts exactly as an oil and vinegar salad dressing would. And, if a chemical reaction is to blame, then I would expect the reacting substances to use each other up and see the juice stabilize into a new state. Adding heat alone should not cause the reaction to reverse and then start again upon cooling. Perhaps your idea explains the cloudiness. But I still think the separation issue is causing the most problems.

I think what is happening when you add Heat to your e-Liquid is that you are Lowering the Viscosity of the Non-Flavor component of the mixture. ie: the VG, PG and Nicotine Solution.

But once the Heat is Removed, the VG, PG and Nicotine Solution go back to their Original Viscosity. And since it is Denser and will not stay in Suspension with the Flavoring (the Oil and Vinegar thing) it settles to the Bottom of the Bottle.
