Juice on battery connection

Quick question for the ego users on here:
Why is it that, when refilling my vivinova, juice sometimes seeps down from the tank to the battery connection? Am I flooding it w. too much juice? I fill it to roughly the same lvl every time and this only happens once in a while- a pain when in my car/on the go. Happened twice in a row today, n now I'm left wondering: can I avoid this? Thanks in advance!

I have the viv nova (v2.5), and never had any left-over juice run back down to the battery. I would suggest making sure when you refill or rebuild it that you wipe it clean with a damp towel, then dry off the threads of the tank, the silicone top sleeve, and the top itself. Once you get a good dry seal, it should not leak at all. Tanks with carts are a different story all together.....

Ahh I just unscrewed it to check and MORE juice is there-- no clue why the seal wouldn't be tight. Perhaps it's something to do with the "extender" that I have to cover the battery threads? Could that be preventing it from sealing tight? Anyone else with this issue? Thanks for the response.

does your nova have a silicon bit that' sits above the wick? if not that could be the issue..
ALso. when you are filling are you sure you aren't getting any down the center post?

Make sure the coil head is screwed tight on the post. Also make sure the top seal is in place against the top cap.
