Regarding the battery...

Does the button light stay on, say, for an hour? It may just be that it stays on until a certain level of recharge is reached.

I know with my Spinners the button light will go on for quite some time when charging, finally going out but still well before it's charged up. Maybe your rebranded ego is similar.

It's not uncommon to get some juice onto the top of the battery, just use a twist of tissue or a cotton swab to clean it. And clean your charger contacts as well.

Sorry, can't help on thread pitch, but I seem to recall seeing a chart here on ECF a while back. Try the search bar at the top of the page, or google...

not sure if the light goes out after a while have not checked that as it always went out immediatly after being put on the charger did not stay on at all prior and have cleaned it out maybe just a dud thanks

It could be the battery post is pushed down. Does it work with your cartos? Could be the charger as they're not the greatest quality. I've had a number of them fail.

I'd been thinking it was a manual type, being a rebranded 1100 ego. They're sealed, so juice won't get inside (well, not easily!), it just makes a mess and a bad electrical connection.

If so, clean out any juice with a cotton swab or a twist of tissue. Worst case, moisten the swab with just a little clean water and scrub away. Then clean again with a dry swab to get the traces of water out.

Try charging. If it works, you're done.

Otherwise try to wiggle the post up a tad. A mm is probably enough. They're generally held in with a rubber grommet, so just rock the center post back and forth, from all around it. A toothpick may work. If you use metal, remember to turn off the battery first, so you don't accidentally hit the button and short the battery.
