I don't think I'll never miss buying something that may be a hit with everybody else, with 3000 juice companies out there, "your" favorite tasting one might be in your hand already, don't sweat it.. DIY is a natural progression with some folks, experiment a little, that's what we're doing with vaping all along.. If it keeps you off the cigs, do what pleases you, and don't follow the crowd. my :2c:

I rarely buy "premium" liquids. One of my favorites is Roar's Amnesia $16.50 plus shipping. I'll buy it once every blue moon because I like it enough to want to try it but for the most part since I am a chain vaper I'm content with Azure's $16 for 120ml plus shipping or making my own. As more people get into vaping instead of smoking, the price of juice will be driven down. The market will drive the price. I doubt very few juice makers are driving Bentleys but as the market triples and quadruples, the price of juice will become more of a factor.

At the prices these folks are charging for 10 ml, I bet they are......

DIY for the win yo!
Call me cheap but i think its crazy to pay more than $5 for a 3mL sample or even a 10mL bottle. Especially when a 250mL bottle of VG or PG can be bought for the around same price.
I haven't tried any of these "premium" flavors yet, but I'm pretty sure that with more practice in DIY, i can come up with stuff just as good

I'd love to just jump into DIY but I hesitate because getting nicotine all over me freaks me out. I'm an idiot. I'm inclined to just get right in there now purely for your totally believable 'Jesse from Breaking Bad' opening line.

I am so glad they didn't kill him in the end.

If you follow the safety procedures that are outlined in the DIY section, there is no reason to get any nic juice on you. Just be super aware of what it is you are doing. The highest nic I have purchased is 60mg. I really don't have any desire to go higher than that so I understand your reluctance to do so. I vape around 12mg so 60mg can make me more than 4 times the amt than just buying a nic base of 12mg. And pg/vg is so inexpensive, it makes it worth it. go at your own pace.
I still have favs from some ejuice vendors that I vape daily also. but these are usually juices that contain 3 or more flavors. I stick with one of two for diy, at least for now.

Good luck on whatever you decide.

I imagine that many of the juice makers are regular peeps with real jobs and then make the juice as the orders arrive. My buddy does DIY and he tells me how cheap it is for a 50ml bottle that the profits are there even if companies charged 1/2 of what they do. I'm somewhat new, and frugal, and want to try a lot and not spend too much. Mount Baker is amazing juice at great prices so I'm stuck on them for a while.

I'm also sure there's a Borg mentality that prices below a certain point must mean that the juice is crap. An example from non-juice I constantly think about is from a job I had years ago. I worked as an outfitter in Alaska and the shop I worked for sold everything for the outdoors. We had an amazing knife set for processing game priced at $40. After a month, we sold none of them. I changed the price to $100 and put them on sale for 25% off and within a week we sold all 144 we had! People get stuck in the mentality that low price must equate to crap when that's not always true and that more expensive must be better.

ok with DIY and NIC let me preface this with the following. I have a HUGE background in handling dangerous Chemicals safely.

I BUY 100 mg nic. I cut it down to 36 mg. The 36 mg I further cut when I make up my juice (I vape at 1mg atm). Depend on your tolerance to nic a 36 mg spill onto skin isn't going to make you too sick before you can wash it off. The 100 could be deadly.

If you are new to DIY or chemical handling get the lower nic level base nic liquids like 36 mg (you can buy it already cut down that low). Peace of mind and safety are priceless.
