Juice Questions

Just started vaping and got a variety pack of 5 ml bottles at 24mg nicotine. My hubby and I have been 1 - 1.5 pack a day smokers since we were young teenagers so we figured we should go for the higher concentration. He likes to hit the vape often and he's actually been feeling a bit sick from it (lightheaded, headachey, etc)... I think it's from the high nicotine level.

Obviously everyone has different opinions, But how often should he vape on the 24 mg nic e-liquid? Should we pick up something with less of a concentration if he needs to vape more often out of habit? I think we'd both be sad because we spent $14 on this sampler pack and don't want to waste it, but I also don't want us to be getting sick from this either. I tend to vape a puff or two when I have a craving and I'm good... I don't need to hang out and puff on it all day, but he prefers the habit of it.

Any input would be helpful! Thank you in advance =)

If you have the waiting time, you can order the same sample pack again, only this time in a lower, or "no" nic level.
Then mix them together. If you get the "no", it will dilute your juice to 12nic, depending on how much you have left.
In any case, it will give you a lower (anything between 12 and 24 depending on the amount you mixed it with.
But you'll know it's at the least 12 nic.
Or, you could purchase the PG or VP or combo of each and dilute you juice.
You will lose some flavor that way, but it works.

Next time, drop it down to 18nic and give that a try.
Just keep dropping it until your happy with it.
You and hubby may each have to order your own separate juices.
At least you could try different flavors to share.

You will find everything changes as your body get used to the changes, and doing without the poisons.

This tip came courtesy of dring219. Dont throw away the high NIC juice you have , go to walmart to the pharmacy / health section , and buy a 6oz or so bottle of Vegetable Glycerine , its only like 3 bucks or less . In a empty bottle , if you have one , use the VG to cut your high nic liquid down a bit , IT WILL BE A WHOLE LOT THICKER JUICE . But it will save you a little and also start you on your way to mixing your own juices , that is if you want to do that . Most of us are secret mad scientists anyway or we wouldnt be vaping happily all day every day . IF, on one of your next orders , see if a supplier carries Propylene Glycol , PG , and that will thin the liquid down , and give you a little more throat hit and a little bit harsher feel / taste , whereas the VG is a touch sweeter and gives more cloud effect.

This will also dilute the flavor down a little bit. I love menthol and ordered 100% pg straight menthol, 1-2 drops per ml will liven up any juice. I used this method to be able to use some too high nic juice I bought when I first started.

Or you could buy lower nic juice for most of the day vaping and keep the high nic for the times when either of you get cravings for analogs. You could also use the PIF, pay it forward, forum to give your too high nic juice away to someone that will use it.

This is a great tip. You can always add a few drops of water or grain alcohol (like vodka) to your juice if it gets too thick.

Just don't forget that you will also dilute the flavor of the juice when adding anything to it.

Finally, if you want something like an 18mg and you have 24, just add 1 part VG / water / alcohol to 3 parts juice.

I also was a 1-1.5 pack a day smoker when I started vaping and used 24mg juice. The first few days I got dizzy and got sick once after experimenting too much, but that went away by the end of the first week. I still vape 24mg juice with no issues and it satisfies my nicotine cravings. Here is a link to a breakdown on how much absorbed nicotine is in analogs vs. e-juice by comparison. According to this analysis, 3ml of 24mg e-juice is the same absorbed nicotine as a pack of analogs, and I vape about 3ml/day so that falls into my previous 1 pack a day or so I used to smoke.
