I've been vaping for a little over a month now. It's actually been almost exactly a month since I got something that wasn't a Blu disposable ecig. Today, I've noticed that my juice just doesn't taste right. I was having some issues yesterday with my tank, and I took it to the store and asked them to take a look at it. The guy told me it seemed fine to him, and I believe him because I've been dealing with a pretty severe case of vaper's tongue for the last two weeks or so. Even so, I bought a second tank just because I wanted to be prepared in case the one I bought before did crap out on me.

Today, the juice I'm vaping from the new tank just seems a little...harsh to me. I left the store with Froot Loops juice, which I finished before adding some Caramel Mocha juice. I can still taste a bit of the Froot Loop juice, but today it just seems harsh or something.

Is this still something to do with vaper's tongue? I'm thinking that maybe my taste buds are just adjusting, and I need to just vape through the changes until I adjust. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I learned this the hard way. Pg/VG mix ratio, vs, volt/watt will burn different juices because of the mix ratio. That ratio and the wicking speed of your wick material makes a huge difference.

If you have silica 2mm, juice with more than 50% VG will burn at 8.5 watts on my setup. Where a 50/50 I can vape at 11 watts with good flavor.

Another thing is amount of power and type of draw. If you are lung drwaing, get a dripper. My info is based on a fired puff then mouth draw.

For the old tank: Are you still using the original coil in it? If so, that's due for replacement. An old coil will make juice taste funny (or weak).

The new tank: Did you clean it before you used it? Is it a different resistance than your original tank?

I wondered about the old tank. It's a GDC CE. It's glass, dual bottom coil. I would love to find replacement coils for it. It worked really well for me when it was new. I didn't clean the new tank. In fact, I don't even know HOW to clean a tank. I'm scared of ruining it, I guess. They put the juice in for me at the store, and I was vaping it to make sure it worked right.

The new tank is not a dual coil, but it's a bottom one.

Cleaning is easy. Just pull it apart as far as you can (don't take the coil head apart though), rinse everything thoroughly in hot water at the sink, dry it off, and give the coil time to air-dry. It's always good to clean a new tank before use, sometimes there's some machine oil left on it from manufacturing.

Ask your store if they sell replacement heads for the old tank (if you got it there, they should). Coils are good for anywhere from a week to a month, but they do need replacement or rebuilding when they get too dirty
