I have been using Atomz (cartomizers) from puresmoker.com. Been smoke free since Dec 15, 2010. But now am shopping for VG juice, and looking to fill my own cartos or carts for 901, which fit my awesome Icon with the 901/kr808 adapter. Just received Red Oak Sampler from Johnson Creek, and some empty cartos, 901 carts, and 901 atomizers (2) from puresmoker.

So here are my questions:
1) what is the best way to test the 7 different flavors provided. Should I drip each one? If so, how do I clean the atomizer between different flavors. or should I fill the cartos, or 901 cartridges, one with each flavor, and test that way.

2) Also, how long does it take to burn off the chemical taste on a new atomizer? any tips?

Thanks in advance,

Pip-Boy

Assuming you have a cart and atty

Drip two drops on the atomizer per flavor at a time to try it out
If you have plain vg that'll help cleanse out the flavor between switching
If you don't have a drip tip you can make a cart act like one by removing the filler

To get rid of that nasty primer give it a good hot water rinse. Do it two to three times

New atty - first I blow through atty but itself into a tissue

1. Then if I have plenty of time, I swish/soak in vodka (grain alcohol would be better) for a while, scoop some through it, let it dry.
or
2. Put 3 or so drops right on atty bridge, wait a minute, then vape that off without inhaling.
or since I have manual batteries
or
3. burn it off (pressing button for no more than 4 seconds or until a sizzle or crackle is heard or see a wisp of vapor) then repeat 1-2 times, but this can be stressful for the atty

Re testing juices - if dripping you can use flavorless juice in between the flavors. but I found it still takes a long time to get rid of a flavor, especially some flavors.

If cart - if those are regular round tip 901 carts I guess I would remove the stuffing of one and put a precut blue foam plug in (I got the precut pieces cheap at strictlyejuice.com). They are easy to wash under running water and pat dry, easy to put in and take out. Topping off on the foam stays more near the top than with the slightly stiff vertical fibers of the 901 carts I have. But I only have whistle tip 901 carts and I haven't tried the blue foam precuts in the odd semicircle juice cup of those. If I didn't have blue foam at all then I think I would still try a cart and maybe try to rinse it between flavors (slow running water then touch a dry paper towel to the fibers to wick out the water?)
