kr808 tastes funny?

Hello. I have had a kr808 from V4L for about a week and I have found that when I fill a blank carto with liquid it tastes very different than what I have experienced with my dse901. The vapor production is much less than the 901 using the same battery and liquid. The taste is kind of papery? The other prefilled cartos I got have also tasted kind of papery compared to the 901.

I put around 12-15 drops in the carto when I fill it. Any more than that and the cartos don't pull well and bubbles and hiss. Any less than that and it doesnt seem to last long before I'm refilling it.

The flavors of prefilled cartos I have tried are cappuccino, cola, coffee, and smilin mint. I was not impressed with any of them.

For now I have returned to using my 901 atomizers (direct drip method) and i use them with my kr808 batteries. I also switched the 901 mouthpiece with a rubber sleeve from a kr808 carto. It keeps the atomizer from getting your lips hot and prevents the 901 atomizer from being huge.

Am I doing something wrong or do they just taste different in a kr808 cartomizer? ...so far I can say I'm not a huge fan.

I think there is a different taste. I cant do 808s at 3.7. just not any fun.

they do great at 5v though.

PS. I cant do any prefilled cartos. They all taste bad to me.

I noticed that they did have much better vapor production at 5v, but the whole reason I bought it was for more portability, and I feel awkward using a passthrough or large e cig mod in public.

Now I only use the 808 for long car rides when I can't be bothered with dripping my 901 every fifteen minutes when I want to vape. And if my girlfriend or a buddy is with me I'll still just use my 901 and ask them to drip for me haha.
