Juice with vg giving bad tastes?

Had a spare bottle of Hangsen menthol sensation 18mg nic and a fella at work wanted it.
I took it in to work today and gave it to him.
This afternoon he came to me and said that the juice I had given him tasted really really bad. He said that its got that 'vg' rubbish in it.
He showed me the juice bottle he normally capes with and the ingredients show that it was just a 'pg' liquid and no 'vg'.

I pretty much vape the menthol sensation every day. I like it. I thought and I don't know for sure, that the menthol sensation was an 80/20 pg/vg mix so not much vg in it.

Would vg have made that much of a difference to the juice taste?

its hard to say, i've noticed very off-putting flavor from some high VG, some not so much.

consider that PG is made in the lab from what was essentially a hydrocarbon. its also the stuff in the ashthma treatments at the hospital. VG is made from plant sources, and plants have flavor.

have not tried any hangsen or non-USA liq except for my first few weeks of vaping a year ago.

Personally, I don't like Hangsen menthol sensation. I do like the standard Hangsen menthol.
I can tell you, the difference in these two liquids is not JUST the VG.
