Hey all, I'm a new member but I've been coming to this forum for several weeks now reading reviews and posts. The local B&M that I've been getting my juice from makes their own juice in store. They use these big cylinders filled with different nicotine strengths of PG. First they take whatever size bottle you want, drop some flavor or mix flavors into the bottle then fill it with your choice strength PG. I had not given much thought to this until I mentioned it to a friend of mine that's largely responsible for me getting into vaping. He said that's a poor set up and wide open to getting juice that's contaminated if anyone sneezes or coughs etc. He recommended I move to ordering my juice online from a reputable dealer that makes their juice in a clean room and to definitely stay away from Chinese made juices. I wanted to hear what people here thought about all this and get further advice. So far I've never had a problem with the local store's juice other than sometimes it does not have enough flavor.

If they use lab quality equipment, such as stainless steel tables and such, and they have high standards of cleanliness, then I would not worry too much about it. If they don't seem to have high standards in this area, then I would stay away. Just my :2c: on the subject, and as always ... YMMV!

No they just use your standard fold out tables, everything is behind the store counter. The base is in these tall glass or plastic cylinders with a push button tap at the bottom. Whether they stir it or not I have no clue. I would hope they stir it daily. And they usually put on latex gloves before they start to mix.

My local BM store has a legit setup. They use specialised tanks and Precision measuring devices to measure up each juice. They dont even offer prefilled bottles because that would take away from the experience so they say. It takes a bit longer but the options are literally endless. They mix in a dedicated juice room away from customers and contaminants, wear gloves and also masks. This is the very least i would personally accept for quality standards. Anything less and youre asking for issues in quality and possily even serious contamination issues. Illness and problems seem more likely with that lax of a setup. Personally i would shop around town to see if there are other options.

come on people?? have you never ate from a street cart before?? as long as they are mixing the right strength of nic you are good to go! there is a beauty in the whole spectrum just like restaurants, from the perfect high end setup like hangsens and probably a few US vendors to the home made basement from an obscure seller or DIY friend
well that's just me I love to eat tacos in the strangest places and discover great things in the way

It is all about the dedication of the people to good sanitary practices. You can get good food out of roadside stand or a five-star restaurant, but you can also get sick from either when some douche decides to break the rules.

As for reliable sources, who are they and who established the standards? There are none. A fancy web site does not mean the vendor is not mixing your juice in barn.

If you really care about such things, DIY.

I mix my own and sometimes sneeze while mixing Am I a bad person?
I have never gotten sick from my juice

Would you still eat the food if your street cart hot dog vendor sneezed on his hands and continued working? The digestive tract can easily handle contaminants whereas the cilia of the lungs are highly sensitive and do not filter viruses/bacteria/etc....we should obvi be concious of whatever we inhale and i would never trust a vendor with such lax procedures. No offense.

Yes if you DIY and youre the only one using it...sanitation is probably less important. For a large BM vendor...sanitation and correct procedure is critical to the safety of their customers.

Again, use your personal discretion here. I will say that the more rigorous the standard, the better.
