Everyone in the world was telling me about Hawk Sauce from mount baker. I finally bought me some to try. In fact, I bought a large bottle because I have enjoyed Mount Bakers other popular flavors...surely I would like this one, too. However, I find myself disappointed because it just tastes like berry with a hint of menthol to me, and so far, I have detested berry flavors.

Others tell me they think it tastes like gummy bears or a fruit stripe gum or something, but it's just berries to me. Yucky. I'm going to let it steep for quite a while and see if it tastes any different.

Does anyone else have experience with Hawk Sauce?

After over 20 years of chain smoking analogs, my taste buds are permanently shot. I rarely taste any flavor at all when vaping, regardless of which juice I use. They smell good in the bottle and they smell good in the air on exhale, but I don't actually taste anything. This is true for almost every juice I have tried up until now. There is one oddball exception - Totally Wicked, Patriot Range, Grape. I can actually taste the grape and that was surprising. I may vape it for a while longer because it's nice actually tasting something. I've tried 3 different vendors and about a dozen juices, and only the grape was detectable on my taste buds.

GS, smoked 20+ years myself, and it took almost three weeks before I could taste anything either. Other than tobacco flavors, couldn't taste much. However, Atomic fireball from dfwvapor, and and nut (hazlenut, almond) I could taste really strong.
Grape is my favorite flavor, but I still can't really taste it! Wanna swap taste buds?

One of the first E Liquids I tried was from Johnson Creek I forget the name but it was a clove and spice blend I was really excited to try it and after letting it steep for a week I loaded it into my EVOD. It was horrible I had to throw out the coil as everything I put into it afterwards tasted foul. I was bummed as I had heard great things. Of course taste is subjective and they do get gretry at reviews. I am just to gun shy to try another.

I didn't like Pluid, Boba's bounty or hawk sauce those were the stand out let downs for me. Every juice I ordered from AiV however was wonderful complex and tasty. I also really liked Nude Nicotine's coffee cream and Creme Brulee from Nicoticket....sometimes Halos Shamrock too.
I have found I do not like strong flavors. I do not like simple flavors either it seems.

Moon8Dog - that is funny, because the only flavor I have been able to remotely taste is grape from Totally Wicked. I bought a bad Ego-T 1000 battery from them and returned it for credit at the local brick and mortar. I exchanged it for a couple bottles of juice - Parisian Vanilla (I can't taste it, but the wife likes the smell) and Grape. I was pleasantly surprised by the grape and my expectations were low for it. Now I may go buy a larger bottle of it. But other than this grape, I have not been able to detect much (if any) flavor in any of juices I have tried.

I was really disappointed with MBV. I tried about 10 different juices, all had a chemically taste that really put me off. Most of the flavors had very high 5 star ratings. Been sitting there for months now and still suck.

Vapedudes blueberry cream and strawberry lemonade were really good. The blueberry was thick and creamy on inhale, exhale the blueberry comes out. Strawberry lemonade is just refreshing on a nice day. Just as the name suggests. Has a pleasant throat hit, like chugging a big glass of cool strawberry lemonade.

Hoosierecigs Redbull is awesome. I've let people guess the flavor with no hints and not a single person has guessed anything but Redbull. I can always count on this guy shipping quick too, at my door 2 days after ordering like clockwork.

Nicquid butterscotch is delicious as well. Was surprised by this one, strong scent exactly like butterscotch. The flavor is smooth and thick, almost "buttery", like you let a butterscotch candy dissolve and coat your mouth. Actually picked this up from hoosierecig as he recently started stocking them for about 15% cheaper than nicquids main site.

I've tried several others and have more from nicquid coming my way since the butterscotch took my attention. These are just what's stood out so far.

thanks for all the ideas and replies, gonna check out glv cuz i heard their magic fairy is a good absinthe vape that resembles pluid, and their el kamino resembles bobas....

I second the motion, while you're there try some Deadly Sin, too. Both great vapes IMHO. (haven't tried the el kamino)

I also ordered Hawk Sauce because of all of the reviews. To me it is also just berries (blackberry maybe?) and a hint of menthol. I don't get it. This juice seems to have some kind of cult following... this just proves to me that taste is very subjective and personal.

I did also recently order from Alice in Vapeland too. (there and about twenty other vendors also) I got the sampler and a few 15ml bottles. I really do like their juices. It's not that the taste is SOO spectacular, but rather it is more clear. No weird chemical taste. Just clear taste. I prefer this type of flavoring.

^Yeah, AiV just hits the spot for me. Especially, if I want that aromatic feel. You can't go wrong with natural flavors. How they keep up with orders, even being open only on Tuesday, boggles my mind.

I have to say the one disappointment I've had with a flavor was Fuzion Vapor's Pixie Dust.. I love pixie stix, and I didn't understand when I got it. It was really, really just menthol when I first got it, and I found it laying around the other day after several months, so I decided to grab it again. The menthol was toned down, but since that was what the only real flavor was...there was nothing really to it. A dull sweetness + warm menthol. I suppose it'd be a good addition to a flavor that would work with menthol. It's hard to find a menthol flavoring that isn't minty or cool feeling.

As a Steeler fan myself, I've been vaping from my suicide jar pretty frequently this season....it just seems appropriate. However, it hasn't worked yet, so here I am. I've tried some cool stuff lately. I'm not a big fan of Boba's Bounty but I don't dislike it at all. A couple I've heard very little buzz about are from Quacks Juice Factory...Gizzard Juice which is kinda chocolaty, vanilla, custard...and some other stuff I'm not sure about. It's very good. They also have Goose Juice that is more of a vanilla custard with some other stuff. It's a bit sweeter. It's good but I can't vape it all day.
The Vapor Hut has a flavor called RYD2. To me, it tastes exactly like soft pretzels. I absolutely love it. Their description says RY4 meets Hazelnut. I hate RY4 and Hazelnut. I guess if you mix em it tastes likr pretzels, but I doubt it. I think the description is wrong. If you like pretzels, give it a try.

Five Pawns Absolute Pin is one of my favorites! One of the first I tried when I first started and still use it weekly!

You should give Five Pawns Absolute Pin a try. I hated it but its because I can't stand absinthe. It was in my sampler pack so I at least had to try it.

I ordered the tobacco sample pack from Halo. I've tried all of them except Tribeca (Halo's best seller), which is next/last. The only one I absolutely hated was Torque56 - I can't stand the smell of it. Longhorn and Prime 15 were pretty good and the other two were just OK. Also bought a bottle of Halo's Shamrock, which is pretty good but is more of a occasional dessert vape for me; I wouldn't want to do Shamrock all day.

The only juice that made me go "Wow!" so far is April Moon from Alice in Vapeland, although I don't think it will be an all-day vape for me. I just take a few hits whenever I feel like it. Funny thing is that it's primarily blueberry to my taste buds - and I'm not normally that much of a blueberry or apricot fan. I will definitely be ordering a bottle.

Anyway, I have AiV's LBoE sampler and am looking forward to trying the rest of them. I tried a couple of them in an atty, but I don't think I had enough heat so I need to try them again in a tank. I'll hit the AiV liquids harder once I'm done sampling the Halo juices.
