Ya'll are going to get sick of the JV reviews but that's because I got 27 3mL flavors in the mail to split between two people. These are all reduced PG.
The Lemon Basil Mint:
One first inhale I though what the hell. I was expecting more lemon and the basil and mint were jostling each other quite a bit. As my boyfriend tasted it, he said bitter first, then minty: the flavor profile is basil first, then mint, then at the very end, lemon. I don't taste any real lemony flavor in it except perhaps in the astringent quality. The vapor coming out of this though is unreal! It kind of has a gourmet mouthwash taste to it whereas I was hoping for a Basil Mint Lemonade flavor to come through like a favorite restaurant of mine serves. But, it's actually not unpleasant. It took me a couple of vaping puffs but whether it's the crazy vapor, or else the *clean* flavor with just a slight bit of mint left on the tip of my tongue after exhaling, I think I actually really like this. I know if I stick with this I'll be interested in switching over to organic natural flavors and I could see finding this or DIYing it with maybe some stronger lemon, or perhaps even blood orange to make it interesting. As it is right now, I like it. I think the flavor comes across (in the mouth at least) a lot more than Toasted Coconut Marshmallow, French Toast w/Bacon, and Green Tea Ice Cream (previous review.) If anyone has had any natural gum from Whole Foods or the like, it's kind of like that.
Lemonogg:
According to Juicy Vapor's website, this is a customer creation made by Jason B. I can taste a little lemon, a little brandy, maybe a little eggnog. Boyfriend says he can't describe it, only except that there's a little lemon on the end. Like the Lemon Basil Mint the vapor is pretty badass. Similar to the Toasted Coconut Marshmallow I reviewed earlier, it's like a mild souffle with a tiny bit of lemon on it, and, I think Brandy might be the...I don't want to say dominant flavor but it's what most stands out from the general sweet puffy pastry flavor. I used it in a drip top cartomizer and liked it a lot right off the bat last night. This afternoon, I tried it in a star dust, and for some reason it came across with a lot of honeysuckle with an aftereffect of breathing out the smell of incense smoke. I cleaned out the stardust again and there's definitely mainly a brandy flavor with some lemon flavor but breathing out, it's like sometimes I can get a slight egginess, but mostly it's that incense smell/flavor again. It's not unpleasant but for some reason the cartomizer seems to do it better justice than the stardust....and leaving it in the stardust last night seemed to bring out honeysuckle. I'm going to have to see if I can get a change leaving it alone for awhile and coming back to it. As it stands-- it's pleasureable on the cartomizer, but I'm not digging it in the clearomizer.
King's Waffle:
To me this tastes a lot like Banana bread. There's mostly a banana flavoring and a bread flavoring, and a little bit of peanut butter. I don't know why but my boyfriend says all he can taste is a banana runt. I do at the very very end taste more artificial banana than the natural banana that seems to predominate at the first draw. I can't explain it more than that since I don't want to draw in a bunch of nicotine. Boyfriend does not like it. I'm going to let it steep and give it back to him.
I think these three delivered a lot better across the board than the last three I vaped (Green Tea Ice Cream, French Toast w/Bacon, and Toasted Coconut Marshmallow) but mostly because I felt that they had more delivery of "in the mouth" flavor, though French Toast and Marshmallow are still worth trying. But holy cow! The vapor on Lemon Basil Mint, and to a lesser degree, Lemonogg-- nice!
