Oh, thankyew, thankyew, thankyew! :thumb::thumb:If you were to make BFC (with cream) (it's a SNAP, REALLY!) you would make MILLIONS (well, hundreds, maybe) of former "A Certain Bakery/BFC ADDICTS" VERY happy! (In the unscientific poll I took, the majority thought that if a person who makes juice (I REFUSE to call that person a "Juice Master or Juice Chef")...anyway...IF a person who takes orders for juice runs off with a Vaper's juice money, the very LEAST that person could do is leave the recipe for the juice that was ORDERED!!). But, that was a VERY unscientific poll...and another mentioned "being stewed in her own juices". (Bad pun intentionally included!)

BUT...now from the ridiculous to the sublime...Son came over for his weekly "check on the elderly and make sure they aren't eating sugar for dinner (again)" visit. He brought a lovely roast that he had BBQd (or is it "grilled"?) "low and slow, Mom! you and Pop will love it!

Son is a truly wonderful man...and I'm not saying that just because I'm his MOM, either! He introduced me to vaping, gave me motivation to vape and not smoke...recommends vape gear he knows will work for me (and explains that I should "only buy a K-Fun if you want to give it to me...because you'll discover that you don't have the dexterity in your hands like you once did...and you will be frustrated with it till I get here to fix it for you!"). He TRULY understands my personal "flavor profile"...he recommends juices to me that he is sure I will like...in fact, he recommended NicoTicket to me!

When he comes, I usually go through my juices and give him my "failures"...things I tried, but didn't "work" for me...sometimes it's taste, sometimes (because I have fragile lungs) the juice makes me cough...that's never good...SO...while he was here, I handed him Strawnilla...and said "oh, you can have THIS one too! He had just cleaned his Russian and needed a fill.."'Smatter with it?" Meh! It just doesn't DO anything for me! He filled his tank...and I watched him float into vaping Nirvana...after dinner, he topped his tank with the Strawnilla and said..."hey, Mom...I'm not taking your Strawnilla bottle. Try it again in a few days, put it in your Aero." No, Son, go ahead and take it...it's not "strawberry" enough! "Mom! Listen, you are REALLY going to like that in a week or so...try it again...I KNOW you! If you DON'T, I'll take it then, ok?" Well...okay...well...when I put that juice into my Aero a week later....well, you know what happened! So, of course, I told Son that he was right, all it needed was another week, and I loved it! "You should listen to me more often, Mom!" Indeed, I SHOULD!!!

Just in case your OWN parents haven't told you...we are SO very, VERY proud of you "kids" when you prove to be so much SMARTER than we are! (Yes, even prouder than we were with your first "macaroni picture"!). We are proud of your accomplishments, proud of the way you handle the challenges life throws at you, proud of your work ethic and especially proud that you didn't end up on death row...(like i was SURE you would that day you wanted to "kill that guy" at the airport who was ogling Mom's legs!) When we are "difficult", try to remember that it's hard for us to accept that we are no longer "the One a who Knows All"...(Like my poor 96 year old MIL, who can't accept that her 71 year old son really doesn't NEED (or want) her "unsolicited advice" on whether his grey mustache makes him look "older" or not! BTW, I've often wondered if she REALLY thinks that we BELIEVE her Clairol #37/strawberry blond is "natural" for a 96 year old woman?). Gee, I've gone :eek:ff topic: not once, twice but THREE or four times...oh, geez, I'm turning into my MIL...Mrs. Anne (Always) Right!!!!

My only excuse is that, for many years of my childhood, either TV hadn't been invented yet, or we were "too poor" to have one...so our only entertainment was telling (tall tales) stories about our experiences...and you just keep talking till someone interrupts you ("You kids be quiet now! ADULTS ARE TALKING!!!")

Thanks to everyone at NicoTicket for brewing us up some really great juices...for getting them shipped and into our tanks fast...and being so dependable! We will continue to adore the juice...while not becoming an obnoxious FanBoy!

Awwwww, your son sounds like a gem!!

Awwwww, your son sounds like a gem!!

Oh, he IS Kent! Thank you! That's why I buy him NicoTicket Betelgeuse whenever he looks like he NEEDS some!!!

I've figured out that if you give a child a good "foundation" during his first five years, all you'll need after that is a good pair of EARS...so you can LISTEN as they figure out stuff for themselves! Be consistent. Let them make their own decisions and suffer (or celebrate) the consequences...but most important is to realize there are consequences for everything...even "doing nothing" has consequences. Call it "reap what you sow" or "Karma" or whatever...(if you don't study, god won't save your ...., and neither will mom....but, she won't let you walk the tightrope with no net, either). I had the best role model in the world, my Gramma...her wisdom, morals, ethics and humor raised my son, through me...and I know my son will pass that same gift to his children and grandchildren...Gramma had 36 grandchildren...who are all Grammas now themselves...she would feel embarrassed if you were able to tall her how she would come to influence rocket scientists, judges, CPAs, engineers, attorneys, doctors, etc, etc.... When I sometimes question my place in the world, I think of my Gramma...who never knew how she would come to make the world better...

Your Gramma would be hugely proud! No doubt there :)

We're lucky to have two amazingly wonderful sons - we have always let them make their own decisions, and when there are major failures ..as there have been, we're just there to pick up the pieces.
It's all reciprocated too :)

As for Strawnilla - mine became truly wonderful with time! :)

The very worst thing gramma would say to me is "V, I am VERY disappointed in your choices..." All I could think of was "why can't you be like other kids parents and just take me behind the woodshed? Oh, PLEASE...please don't be DISAPPOINTED in me!

When I hear about how many amazingly wonderful "kids" there are...it gives me hope that America will be able to face any challenge in the future. Our next door neighbor has three kids. None of them work, yet they are physically and mentally ABLE to...it's just "easier" to sit in front of the TV, smoking god knows what and only leave the house to go sell plasma, go sell their food stamps for cash and go buy drugs. They have a 6 month old baby whose dad is in jail for domestic violence and drugs...so, the three kids, one spouse, a kindergardener, a toddler and the infant all live on welfare...and their elderly parents retirement.

The "kids" shouldn't shoulder all the blame...the elderly parents obviously allow this to happen...because "they said if I make them move, they won't let me see the grand babies ever again!" The only ones who have my complete empathy...are those three children...they will only learn what is right and wrong by watching THEIR parents.

I know that not all social service recipients are like this group...they are an anomaly....I can't tell you what *I* did that convinced my son of the value of a strong work ethic...but, I'm glad that he is a responsible man...you are VERY blessed to have TWO wonderful sons...I just can't imagine how full your heart must be! Raising ONE was a big job...so I know you must be a very strong, resilient lady! May the Good Lord bless you and your family!

Congrats Steve!! :thumb:

Via! I applaud you and what you said is so true and often so sadly frequent. I on the other hand have a long drawn out story involving cutting my parents off and calling the cops. I had to play the tough parent to two children who refused to grow up who unfortunately happened to be my parents. No child at five should have to say to their parents, "Why are you buying new clothes when you said we couldn't buy food?"

That sounds good to me. I'm more happy with the quick turnaround from a Sunday evening order to out the door and a message update in less than 24 hours. As with most things I order, once its in the USPS' hands its a toss up. I will keep thinking Thursday and if it shows early then all the better.

Megan we should probably collaborate and write a book called "You Won't Believe I What I Survived, and STILL Ended Up (KINDA) Normal"! My "egg-donor" left my sister (who was 3 months old) in my "care" when I was 26 months old. She left the two of us in a trailer...and told no one we were in there, packed her bag and ran off to join the circus. It took two weeks for us to be discovered...by the mailman and the Milk Delivery guy...who got suspicious because he heard a babies crying for DAYS! That woman became a "burlesque dancer" (read between the lines) and "semi-infamous"...or at least became a legend in her own mind! Now in her 80s, she's just as self-centered and crass as she was in the 50s.

My dad was in the Navy, and was called home in the middle of a tour of duty. Obviously, he couldn't take 2 little girls on a battleship, so, we went to live with our grandparents. My Gramma was a saint, disguised as an Iowa FarmWife...and everything good within me is due to my Gramma's Midwestern character...She was a very loving woman who inherited the same strength and determination as HER grandparents, who were hard-headed Swedish/Swiss immigrants seeking a better life in America.

Some people believe that our "soul" chooses the family that they are born into...and if that has any truth...I chose this life because I wanted that saintly woman to be my Gramma! She raised 18 children: 3 step-children, 9 biological children, 4 grandchildren, and two children who had been abandoned by their parents in the ugly days of The Great Depression. I can't remember even ONE time that gramma yelled at any of her children or 36 grandchildren, she never got angry, or raised her voice...ever...

I cut my "egg donor" out of my life, like you did. It was the most difficult thing I've ever done. I respect and admire your decision regarding your parents. I'm proud of you for having the self-respect to "draw a line in the sand" and say "This is unacceptable". You may have even said "I'm disappointed!"...but "disappointment" only works on people whose conscience wasn't something that they picked up on clearance over at walmart, next to the scruples! :)

I'm sending prayers your way. Please remember that if you ever need to talk to someone who has "been there" too...I'm here for you.
Take gentle care of yourself!

Well, as usual I'm late to the party! Just want to say welcome to the NuThouse Steve! This is one very interesting thread! And welcome Via! And this is why I love the NT family! It's not just about the juice or the vaping device that I won't mention, REOnauts have that one covered, it's about the people here that make it a family! Thanks for bringing us all together Clark! A small seed turned into a mighty Oak and look at our family tree! What was to be a tree house is now the NuThouse!!!!!

THANKYOU, Chilicat! One thing I discovered two + years ago is "vaping FAMILY" is more than a concept, more than WORDS! I was a member of a different forum back then (not that it matters WHAT forum you are on, vapers seem to be Universal in their care and concern for others.

My son arrived home from work to find his wife, who was seven months pregnant, on the floor, "unresponsive"...even before it was confirmed that my Nanner was gone and that I would never get the chance to hold my grandbaby...I was on the phone to my best "vaping buddy"...she was "there" on my phone as the doctors shook their heads and said "there was nothing we could do...she'd been gone a few hours when your son found her"...she was there, on the phone, during the hours my son was questioned by the police...and again as I drove 5.5 hours to the funeral.

There were a LOT of people who gave words of encouragement, phone calls, messages, etc. I had physically "met" only one of the many who helped me survive that horrible experience...and I will be eternally grateful for their kindness. (All things that even my next door neighbor DIDNT DO for my son and I!)

So, when someone says "vaping community", I am reminded how we all come together in times of crisis and great sorrow. I'm reminded of all the wonderful folks who sent messages to say "I care..."

REO, ProVari or ego...RBAS/RDA, Nautilus, or prefilled cartos aren't important...what's important is the HEART attached to the HAND that HOLDS the vape gear!

My VAPIN family is a wonderful group of folks...

So very sorry for your experience too Via! and oh so very sorry for that horrible loss you family endured

One of the many therapists I was sent to "to fix me" (as I never lived up to my parents' idea of what I should be as a reflection of their perfect audience...) once asked me how I turned out so balanced and sane (all of the therapists knew who the ill ones were but I liked talking with them so didn't mind...lol) since my parents were so very bad. I said, "Well, I knew they were not good for me from an early age so looked for parents everywhere, in the neighborhoods I lived, in books, movies, everywhere." Many an older person would find this little girl adopting them much to their surprise and joy as their own kids were far away or gone so I became their adopted granddaughter. It really was perfect. I still love them all though they are gone now and I will always remember their kindness and love as my salvation.

And I believe we create our own families. We nurture that in all aspects of our lives and do what needs doing for family. ALL family no matter where we meet them or come to know them. And this family is one I'm happy to adopt!!

I just ordered my first bottle of Nicoticket (CB, 50 ml, 18 nic). I've had a pretty broad range of juices sampled so far with a lot of duds, but with all of the fantastic reviews I had to give it a try. I only wish that my budget would have allowed me to order additional flavors, but at least I can join the party. Excited to be a part of the NT family!

Man I'm REALLY late to the party:facepalm: Welcome Steve and CB is my Favorite:thumb: but I won't vape it until it has a 30 day steep:ohmy: Its just SOOOO much better:)

Aw, SHUCKS, Nanny! It was just "Survival:Reality"...it's said that God never gives you more than you can handle...but I sure wish S/He wouldn't put so much TRUST in me!! ;)

Thank you for kind words!
