My wife and I tried some cheapo ecigs from the local smoke shop last year and as much as we wanted to like them they were awful and unreliable. Now we are again dead set determined to get off of analogs for good and are planning on ordering a pair of either the Volcano Inferno T or the TW Tornado T tomorrow. I know the tank system gets mixed reviews but we're ready to take our chances on it I think. Maybe one day we'll step up to dripping etc, we're just not there at this point.

I'm looking around to find some good juice sellers and anything else we may need. I think we've just about got it all organized and ready to order.

This place has been invaluable in our research and just wanted to say thanks to all of the wonderful people here who have shared their knowledge. You guys all rock.

Sounds like you've done some good research. Welcome to ECF, and I hope vaping does for you and your wife what it has done for my family and I. The vendors I buy juice from are: Vapor4Life
Nhaler
My Freedom Smokes

Everyone has their own preference, and you'll get lots of replies before to long. Have a good day.

I can't help you with juice, but I'd like to recommend that whichever kit you order (both mentioned are good) that you add a couple of standard 510 atomizers and a drip tip -- even if you don't like to normally vape that way it's a really easy way to taste new juice without having to fill a whole tank, then if you don't like the new flavor there's not as much maintenance involved.

Good luck :) and welcome to ECF!

Welcome to ECF,
Congratulations on the desire to quit smoking. Your body will thank you for every day you do.
After 40+ years of smoking, I was able to quit on vape day 2. I started out at 36mg nicotine and now at around 24mg. My main goal was/is to be an Ex-Smoker. I'm going on 4 months..virtually painless, and that has NEVER happened before.

I wish you both much success. :thumb: You can do this.

I'll have to look into this for sure, we are are looking at getting a lot of small sample bottles of flavors so that might be very helpful, thank you!

Thank you and congrats on your success! One of the things we have been trying to figure out is the appropriate nicotine level for us to start at. I've seen varying opinions on starting low and working up and vice versa. We are both former 1+ pack a day smokers who have managed to whittle ourselves down to just over a half a pack or so a day. I have been looking in the 16-18 range for nicotine content, does that sound reasonable or might it be better to start a bit higher?

It varies from person to person. 24 is probably a good starting point imo. Seems to be about the general consensus around these forums. But for some folks, it's to much. For others, not enough lol.

Congratulations and good luck!
A wealth of information on the forum. There are a lot of good products out there and you will find that vapers, on average are very very loyal to their distributors/brands/liquids. You really have to research to find what fits your needs the most.
FYI Dripping is not as complicated as it seems and the flavor, TH far surpasses cartos.

Welcome to the forum. Glad to read about your decision to kick the cigarettes. Vaping is a great alternative to smoking.

I recommend a 24mg nicotine juice
and then getting a couple with less nicotine.

Sometimes you need the 24mg to get you through the day, sometimes you may want to cut down on the nicotine in the evenings. Some people find that strong nicotine affects their sleep.

Also suggest you order small bottles and sample sizes of juice if you can. Who wants to have huge bottles of juice around that may not be to their liking.

Do not throw away of give away juices you do not like. Your taste buds will be going through many changes. What you do not like today, may be your favorite in a week or two.

If you order from a hand-mixed / made to order / juice supplier you may need to let the juices sit and steep for a bit. Steeping helps bring out the true and best flavors of some juices. So if you don't like it the day it arrives, let it sit for about a week.

Again, Welcome. It is nice to meet you,
Paula

Can someone give me an example link to a 510 atty/drip tip that would work with the setups I am looking at? I think I know what would work but you guys all know way better than I do. Is there some adapter that is needed?

Sorry for th needless bump, I wanted to see if I could get an answer to this as I'm placing my order for my T's in an hour or so.

Thanks!
