It's interesting... I always went with the (Popper) idea of falsification - if there is no evidence that could be brought forward to disprove a conspiracy theory, then it's a false conspiracy. Unlike Hillary's declaration of a "right wing conspiracy" against her husband - a blue dress was all that was needed. :- )

well my latest conspiracy theory is... it is not by chance this study and the one by Glantz (talked about on NPR with Greg C) have been pushed out to the American public through mass media at this time as the pro anti-vaping agenda jumps the last hurdles they need to overcome, which are, vaping is less harmful than smoking and people are quitting smoking by vaping. If they need to outright lie to win they have shown time and time again they are more than willing to do so.

I tend to agree. This rash of anti-ecig pieces are the 'trailers' to the "coming attraction".

* RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

* RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

Jim's Dead. Been so for Many Years.

But Jerry is Still Alive. And is a Silent Partner in a Major Ice Cream Company.

ROFL!!! I've never liked the Dead, they always sounded desperately in need of a good guitar-tuner (I always thought they were proof that drug abuse destroys your hearing!). The day I heard of his death, when my husband got home, I said "Jerry's dead, and I'm grateful!"

Welcome to my ignore list.

Well, not really, but it's tempting. :p

Well, my husband initiated me to the wonderfulness of Neil Young, The Band, and even Bob Dylan (who really can't sing a lick, but writes amazing songs!), but I've resisted most of his efforts with the Dead, and every single effort with Zappa, and a couple others... Janis Joplin comes to mind, I've heard mating cats that sang better. :D

Actually I was *just* starting to come around on the Dead, with their last album, when Jerry bit the big one. So we'll never know if I could have been a Dead fan, as the process was interrupted by... death, ironically enough.

In other words you never reached a sufficient state of enlightenment. ;)
