so....as i went to pick up my package today..i chain smoked my last cigarettes as im hoping to quit. (pariliament lights, pack a day)

i been obssessing this whole ecig thing all day yesterday and today and well...needless to say i ripped the thing open and puffed away. i didnt know how to feel about it as obviously it still wasnt like an analog..but wasnt super bad neither...

questioning whether i could really quit analogs with this thing..i kept puffing on all the flavors (16 mg sample cig pack) trying to find one i like..and after 10 minutes felt horribly nascious and a bad headache...

its been a couple hrs now..feel a little better but still feel nascious enough to not do anything..is there any cures to speed up the recovery process? this really sucks

i also havent craved a cigarette yet (lol) but to be honest, im scared to touch the thing again. i feel like maybe i should jus buy another pack of analogs for when i do crave? buy a lower mg amount and wait till then?..which will be a few days....or use my bloog again but i dont even know whats a safe amount now.. lookin for advice maybe? thx

Drink some water....you are most likely a little dehydrated. One thing that is handy to note is that you need to keep yourself hydrating while vaping.

I would encourage you to continue using your pv rather than analogs. When you're feeling a bit better and the urge strikes, use the pv but only enough to satisfy your craving. In the meantime, if you believe that the nic content is too high, order a lower dosage for next time.

Hang in there.

Hey nocturn, sorry to hear about the rough start.

When I first got a pv I did the same thing. Smoked a cig, puffed on a cart. Smoked another, tried a different cart, etc.

A little while later I was feeling pretty rough. After I felt better, I went back at it a little slower and finally got the hang of it. Just remember that after a few puffs, take a break for a few minutes. Vaping delivers nicotine differently than cigs so it's easy to overdo it! Best of luck!

Headache is usually too much nic. You need to either have some self control or buy some lower nic. I actually leave my ecigs in another room at home so I have to get off my .... and walk into the next room to vape. That works well to keep me from doing it all the time. Consider getting some lower nic even if it's just for when you are vaping too much. But you can overnic yourself even on lower nic. Two drags of 12 or 4 drags or 6 is a drag of 24. Etc. I actually vape 0mg in between vaping my nic cartos.

PG (propylene glycol) is the liquid base the nicotine and flavor are mixed with. Some of us have an allergy to it. There are juice vendors that sell PG-free juices made with VG (vegetable glycerin) instead.
Don't worry unless it gets a lot worse. Either way it should go away. How many analogs did you smoke per day before?

The taste will get better when you start refilling your cartomizers, instead of pre filled (IMO). But crappy juice beats analogs ;-)

BTW welcome to vaping. I hope you get this sorted out and learn to love it as much as we do.

You chain smoked your last analogs then chain vaped for 10 minutes? Eeee.

I hope you feel better quickly-- listen to the vets and don't give up. I tried my PV four hours after I had my last analog (not by choice) and that probably helped the transition. What also may have helped is the fact that I smoke cheap crap; here in MO you can still get a carton for $20. And when I say crap, I mean crap.

Get some sleep then try again first thing when you wake up. I bet it will be a completely different experience. :)

Definitely sounds like Nicotine poisoning. I've had it a few times in the past after smoking way too much, and hitting the hookah at the same time while drinking. Drink tons of water, and Ginger Ale has worked wonders for me in the past to reduce nausea, if you like that stuff. Ginger anything helps really, ginger cookies, etc.

It seems odd the OD would be from the pv, that's not a very high strength. Although you were smoking light cigarettes before, so maybe you just aren't as used to Nicotine as you thought you were.

You shouldn't have any problem using it in the future, I'm thinking your chain smoking of your remaining cigarettes was a huge factor in this. You could always get a lower nicotine juice, but unless you go crazy chain-vaping the current strength shouldn't be an issue. I chain-vape 24mg and 26mg juice, and the worst I get is a slight headache after an hour or so. But I did smoke Turkish Royals and Wides, so I wasn't a light smoker.

Good luck, hope you feel better, and stay strong resisting the urge to smoke ciggs!

LOL...sorry but I OD'ed when I first started vaping also. You need to lower your nic if you're going to hit on it all the time. Drink tons of water...more than you normally do. I can't drink plain water so I buy water mixes from wal-mart. If lowering your nic level doesn't work and you're still suffering from headaches and what not, you need to use a higher level of VG in your juice. It can also be an allergy to VG.

well i gave in to the analog...the nicotine od really got to me

im going to order a sampler pack of the two lowest doses, then try again when i get em...

so i guess analogs till then ;(

Nic-OD IMO. All of the previous and I'll add- depends on how you smoked and how you vape. I use to smoke-over 50 cig size cigars each day. I never smoked them (inhaled) the way I did with cigarettes. I let half the smoke "fall" out of my mouth before I inhaled. Cigs (long time ago) I inhaled deeply.
I tried an E-cig at a mall kiosk. Guy put in a 24 or 28 mg cart after deciding that I was a heavy smoker. I inhaled that like a cigarette.-It nearly knocked me out- I had a headache and felt nausea for hours.
Did research-found ECF. When I first ordered I got 11mg. No problem. Sometimes I vape heavily-no problem. Nowdays I just cut 11mg with 20% VG.
Vaping IS different than smoking. Make the conscience effort to make it different. Even with what you have (until your next order) try "shallower hits", don't hold it in. Search this site for sources of Vg or even PG and cut your juice with a couple drops. Do the same with your cartomizers after you vape off some of the juice. And as stated-plenty of water.
