Alright, just a couple questions before I make some purchases this weekend to ease my mind.

To start off, I want to buy a beauty ring for my Provari that I got this week. However, I'm not sure which to get between the two. Before I continue, I'm going to be getting a 22mm Standard size IBTanked carto-tank, which is mainly why I want the beauty ring. Unfortunately, I'm not sure which beauty ring to buy. I see they sell a Provari beauty ring on their site for $12, but I've also read that you should get a Loki for $20. Is the Loki worth it and which one of the stainless steel finishes is matching with the satin silver Provari? I saw that there was machined, polished and brushed stainless steel models. Also, if I've gotten any sizes or anything mixed up with any of this, please tell me. My goal is to get a flushed looking device with a carto-tank topper. I will of course be upgrading to an SnP when I can spend that sort of money, but for right now I believe every Provari user should have at least one IBTanked carto-tank

Now, onto my last question. I want to just go ahead and buy 10-15 replacement cartomizers to use so I don't have to buy or wait for anything for a little while. In terms of prices, the cheapest ones I've been able to find are the ones right there at IBTanked. I planned on buying from here but they're apparently out of stock and it says "Notify me". However, I did notice that you could pick an amount via the tank-building section for when you buy your cart-tank so couldn't I just add them there? I don't know.

All I know is I want pre-punched and flanged to avoid any annoyances while starting these out. I also didn't really want to pay much more than $7 per 5-pack since that's about what I pay now for my clearomizer replacement heads.

Ah, so many questions...

IBTanked cartomizers should be in stock in a day or two according to OCD.

I don't have the Loki rings to compare, but I do have the one from IBTanked. It has two air holes drilled in it for airflow.

Hey, it's my favorite person! How is the quality of the beauty ring from there? Does it degrade the quality of the Provari in comparison at all? I do like that it has air holes so it can stay flush and not have any worries with a tight draw right?

I added a pic link to my post above. I have Pro Rings from two other vendors (a Korean vendor and from Bomb Vapors I think) and the one from IBTanked is the higher quality and better machined of the three.

Oh wow, that ring looks great. So with a full tank setup, the ring, all of the drip tips they provide that I like and a handful of replacement cartos it only comes out to about $70. That's not too bad!

I'm not sure how relevant it is to this particular discussion, but the OP should know that the IBTanked beauty rings really only work best with IBTanked products. If you want to use any other toppers with a Pro Ring, you'll probably need a Loki ring or similar.

Will the Loki ring be just as nice looking with the IBTanked carto-tank? Also, if I do get a Loki tank, which finish do I get? Polished, brushed or machined stainless steel?

I can give you informed opinions on the Hippo airflow controller. For advice on Pro-Rings, I direct people to this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provari/500190-pro-rings-2013-year-end.html

Edit: If you are going to use it primarily with IBTanked, buy the IBTanked ring. It's the best ring for the IBTanked Tanks, and it's a good price, compared to most of the other rings. My understanding is that the IBTanked ring sits higher than the other rings, which can cause the 510 connector (of most everything that isn't an IBTanked carto tank) to not screw down far enough to make a good connection.

Well, see the ring will cover the top, so the only SS I see on my black provari is the end cap - which is pretty shiny.
So I have a polished Loki ring and tank. And it IS a fantastic tank...
The IBTanked ring is "taller" than others - and so with other tanks the carto can't reach the battery connection.
But it's designed specifically for an IBTanked, and made so you screw it down TIGHT - it actually is expected to pull the carto a tiny bit through the tank - and you end up with a solid, almost "hybrid" feel.
It's less $$, so if you're getting an IBTank, might as well get an IBT ProRing...but the loki type ring would be more flexible for use with OTHER tanks, later on...as long as the bottom of those tanks have notches for airflow (the Loki tank does). Not to further complicate things...lol.

Here's my Loki tank, with yet another ring (kayfun cone) I happened to have on. This one is a little hard to get right now - it's very similar to the Loki ring, but it tapers just a tiny bit - from the Provari's 23 mm to the tank's 22mm. Other rings would have a very slight "shelf" at the tank/ring connection point.

Good plan - or you can look to the SnP 23mm with it's own custom ring - it's a different "bottom" to the tank that is a built-in ProVari ring.
I just got one of those today (from the classifieds!) - haven't even put it on yet...but it looks great!

Thanks every one. I guess I'll get the IBTanked ProRing for their carto-tank, then I'll later on get a Loki ProRing for when I buy the SnP.

I'm not crazy about my Loki rings since they leave part of the top exposed. They don't come down low enough. I have the white ring and don't like the little gap it leaves.

Wow, that does look great. My only concern with the SnP is that it's off a european website. How is the shipping times on it? I think the SnP converted to USD was like $63? That's not including any cartos or a pro ring. Pretty pricey, so I planned to start off with the IBTanked tanks.

It's definitely pricey - like I said, I waited for one until I saw one in the classifieds!
I've got quite a collection of tanks going, including some expensive ones (Kir Fanis, and the SnP...).
I think IBTanked is a great one to go with...they're made well, with great personal support from a small business owner who's here on ECF answering questions!
(you can read Q&A about IBTanked products in the thread called "do you fiddle with your thingy?")

My only comments:
1 - that's a lot of drip tips - unless you know you like that material and style...if so, go for it!
2 - same thing on the cartos - that's reasonable, unless you try an Ikenvape Low Resistance carto in a couple weeks, and then think "oh, that's better - what will I do with 3 more boxes of Smok cartos?". Don't get me wrong - those are GOOD, it's just that SOME people prefer Ikenvape, some people prefer Boge, some people prefer low resistance...etc. I got a few of several types, and I'm STILL not 100% sure what my favorite is. But those are good, and IB has a great price...

Tank, cap, and o-rings look fine (you can also choose "complete tank" in their store - and they send it assembled, with extra o-rings) - works out same price though...and they may assemble even ordered this way, I don't know.

Hope you get it quickly, and enjoy it!!!
