I'm surprised to see as many builds as I am where the coils are positioned behind the tabs, either completely or somewhat blocked by said tabs. Isn't that not ideal? I orient my coils to sit totally off to the side of the tabs so my airflow holes feed the entire coil. I don't remember specifics but I think my dual-setup is 27 awg kanthal on a 3/32 bit, wrapped about 8 times. Comes out to .45 ohm which is exactly where I like my RBDs. Plenty of vapor for me, and the flavor is off the chart, especially out of the tobh. I only have an IGO-W, Quasar, and Caterpillar to compare it to so far (Magma on the way) but the tobh is in such a league of it's own, I am considering buying another. Do all of the tobh clones have a very long 510 connection?

(26650 Tobh) Build it with parallel wire .28 gauge dual coils this will bring it to .28 ohms with lots of coil coverage area for flavor. Nice and warm, vapes smooth with good clouds. So far this is the best build I have had on it.

I like my tobh, (have the 28 and 22mm's) the look is excellent, but to be honest it's one messy atty IMO even just a tiny overfill and it comes pouring out the airholes like mad like the holes are too low... it's not a big deal but for some reason I just find my Stillare to be the easiest to deal with, no leaky airflow rings or or holes, no excessive overflow coming out of the air holes or anywhere, it's forgiving and probably the easiest to use.

Just like mechanical mod seems like every atty has it's pro's and cons... I have favorites based off cloud, flavor, and ease of daily use and the favorite for ease of daily use is the Stillare.

Unfortunately as good as it looks the Tobh is low on all of my lists. *sigh*. I'm going to pick up the new 26650 Stillare Clone and see how that does on the hades.

I ordered a HCigar TOBH RDA V2 clone from Vape Royalty. Should be here in a couple days. I got it to replace my Cigreen Cartel Stillare clone. I really liked the Stillare when I first got it but over last couple weeks I've had a problem with one of the negative posts. One coil will fire up nice and bright while the other glows much slower and not as intense.

I nabbed a black 22mm Ehpro TOBH on an Ebay auction for $11. I didn't think I'd win it, so I was surprised last Thursday when I got the news in my email. It was one of the packages of vapemail that came in this morning.

She's a sexy beast that has great flavor as well as awesome clouds. It makes me wonder why I ever bought the Patriot...

Once I filed my tabs off, I inherently lowered the deck from the holes. Now I have alot more play with accidental over drips.

Hmm... Another idea is to take the dremel tool and possibly lower the deck just a tad where the air holes line up with the coils or bevel that edge to make the juice not sit on it to reduce it from coming out the air holes... Might try this.

I got 2 versions from 2 vendors and on both of them the positive 510 pin doesn't really move or adjust anything - even if I'm holding the center post, keeping it from rotating it too. On that note, they'd be perfect for something like the 4nine, because both pins protrude a mm or two.

i had that same problem with my infinite stillare. same versions, different vendors, same longer center post. luckily i happen to have a 4nine clone and my pegasus clone has a floating 510 connection so it works great on both. still prefer the tobh though because of the ease of removing the cap alone.

I haven't drilled additional holes, it was so good with 2 coils I fired it could handle 4 fine. I just trashed those coils and switched to dual 28 awg microcoils with 6 wraps, hitting great, tons of vapor, and lots of flavor, at 0.32 ohms. Going to lose 1 wrap and see how it does.

There you go brother, I'd definitely suggest drilling some symmetrical airholes for your cap. Even if you like warm vapes because you can always do a few less wraps and make the coils hotter :p. I'd also suggest getting some Gplat wire if you like the warmer vapes, it's totally made for the 28.5 Tobh trust me (Nichrome is nearly just as good too). It basically allows you to have double the wraps of kanthal, while still heating up just as fast, double the surface area, and you double the heat. To me, I always try to find the lowest ohms I can go (safely of course), paired with the largest airflow possible for the type of vape that I like. I love me some quad coils as well, but I simply don't have enough batteries to keep up with the power it uses :p, soon I'll have enough to do octo builds if I want. But yeah if you have some coils that are heating up without airflow whatsoever, then your going to get juice/wick burning eventually, and a really "spitty" vape if that makes sense. You need that air to mix with the hot juice to make vapor period, it could actually work against you if you don't. I'd really suggest drilling at least 1 hole in front of the other 2 coils if you know that's all you vape normally, it'll only make more vapor afterall! :D You can always build your coils lower to match the warmth that you want. (Btw I like vaping at .08 ohms, which is totally safe on a 50amp battery like the Sony, or Panasonic GCR, you'd be surprised at what they can handle safely.)

If you don't want to drill more holes, you can always center post both of the coils so that they are side by side in the middle, that might actually be better than a normal quad! Hope this helps brother, I recently drilled some "cyclone effect" style holes, and that made it so I could quad build without 4 air spots btw, you could try that too.

It's technically better to "center post" your coils since there's more room behind it for vapor to mix with air, and also the airflow doesn't hit it at an angle, it's directly in front of it. However some think it doesn't matter (it doesn't make a huge difference, but I like to when I can), it does add a little more wire to your build though, so keep that in mind, to maybe subtract a wrap so the ohms don't go higher than you want. I personally wish there was a 4 post atty where the posts are ready to be build in the center of the outer wall, so that you don't have to stretch it over like these:

Trick as hell, but so satisfying once you got it in place.
