Tuning a single coil is half the work of tuning a dual coil.
You can get dense clouds from single coil.
With air hole slightly larger than 1 mm, I position coil 1 mm from air hole; excellent quality vapor and >analog vapor production.
If running a single 1/16" air hole, coil can be positioned a little further from air hole; maybe 2 mm; good vape quality and >>>analog vapor production.
For even bigger clouds use 1/8" air hole and direct lung pull; now we are starting to cloud chase.
With heavier wire you can position coil further from lug w/o creating hot legs.
Coil should glow from center out.
My gold standard coil is twisted 30GA 3/32" ID 1.2 ohms cotton ball wick; tastes great and makes good clouds.
Once have a single coil fine tuned then dual coil etc can be fun to tinker with. I do not get anywhere near twice the performance w/ dual coil but it drains batt twice as fast.
