Okay I am new to this forum so hello everyone. Something about me I guess I should do.

I am Kat and I was a smoker for over 40 years smoking 3 packs a day. I quit smoking on the first day I got my first e cig, an Ego, on Oct 1, 2010 and haven't had a smoke since then. I love it!
I started doing my own e liquids using a base mix about a year ago and I am enjoying coming up with new flavours such as pear and cherry blossom with a bit of Ethyl Malto it is very yummy to my tastes. Once in a while I will order in some e liquid from other places to see if like the flavors.

After 2 years of using an Ego I am ready to up my voltage with a mod and I bought a GS VV mod but didn't work so have to send it back for replacement. After I got it I am not so sure it was a good move but I did also get some new batteries with the twist voltage and that is helping as some of my mixes are a little harder to get what I want out of them.
The one thing I am concerned about is having to work out what settings I should be using with my attys. I am terrible at math and all things like math lol

More about me I guess for my profile:
I am deaf and pretty much a shut-in having to use an electric wheel chair to get around. I am on the computer for all communications and chats. I have this awesome custom built table over my bed that is 7 feet long with cubby holes on each side of my bed and is on wheels to move it back and forth for easy use. Now you might wonder why 7 feet ....well I have three 24 inch monitors on it. So yeah I am a nut that loves my computer and my e cig are all right next to me at all times. So there you go that is me :)

There is also an atomizer ohm/volt/amp calculator. Not sure if I can post links but you can find it by googling for atomizer ohm calculator. At the bottom of the first page it shows you the basic formula and how you can do it quickly in your head or on a calculator.

Watts = Volts X Volts / Ohms
Amps = Volts / Ohms

Thank you all for the very warm welcome. Back when I was researching e cigs before I made the decision to try them I have to admit I did a lot of lurking on forums and this was one I did some reading. Being deaf I had to fill in some blanks that I wasn't understanding in youtube videos. It was very helpful :)

Hi Kat. Congrats on 2 years!

3 24in monitors? :matrix:

Sounds like the mod might pack a punch - they can take getting used to, huh. Well it's great to see a post from you, and to hear that you've been cig free all this time. Way to go. :toast:

LOL and I didn't mention my 19" Sony Laptop or my 17" HP laptop :D
Moving past my basic ego e cig is another learning experience and moving out of the ego T will be a great experience I hope as I am tired of the leaking I get from the tanks.

So I am still a nut that loves my computers and my e cigs and maybe later I will take some pictures and show my set up. I have an antique cabinet next to my bed that I use for bedside table that holds most of my e cig supplies right at my finger tips lol

Thanks for the warm welcome
Kat

Welcome, welcome! 2 years, I can't wait to get there. It's great to hear you did it on an eGo because that was my very first purchase.

Thank you for the welcome :)

Yeah the eGo is a good one to start with. When I started with the eGo my first kit had the 510 atty not the eGo atty but I did very quickly got some eGo attys then some attys for the tanks. I love the 510 atty for drip method using a LR 510 and I still do that daily with favorite e liquid mix as it is perfect for flavor and vapor. The Ego Tank system I had more issues with as got a lot of leaking so I worked with that while at home but also made up and used a lot of Cartomizers.

What set up do you use?

Don't know about you but when I started with e cig I quickly learned I hated the taste of tobacco all I wanted was the nicotine... while I was a smoker and never thought about taste. On my first order I got tobacco and butterscotch and was on first try with butterscotch I was hooked. :) Since then I have found and made many flavors ..........it has been quite the learning experience.

I hope all goes well with you.

Kat
