Hello ECF!!

My name is drew and i live in Wisconsin. I've been reading this forum for about 3 weeks. When i started i knew close to nothing about E-cigs.

One week ago i recieved my 510 starter kit, a day later i quit analogs, a few days later i received some more juice and attys, and today im joining the community. :D

I honestly can't believe the self-power i've received from my PV... Ive smoked a pack a day for 12 years and if i was honest with myself I would have to say i'd probably smoke till i died.

Well i haven't had a cigarette in 6 days. I can't remember ever doing that. (though i've tried) My cousin actually gave me a drag of his this weekend and omg it was gross

These things are honestly a god-send and I've been telling anyone and everyone who asks about them and the reaction is very much positive.

But every coin has two sides - and in reading these forums i've learned the awful truth regarding the FDA, state legislations, mass-media, and overall general ignorance regarding the e-cig.. :(

I hope i can help in some way.. Like i said before I have been educating my friends and family (plan to pick up a kit for my gf), I signed the petiton to the FDA, and I help explain away the misinforation everyone gets from the media.. let's hope we aren't fighting in quicksand..

On another note, I work in a hospital, (im a cook but i still work in the building ) and I was thinking of putting together a packet of important information to just hand around to doctors in the halls. Papers including the FDA report, the rebuttles, study information, personal stories from vapers, etc. I'm sure as doctors they are regularly briefed on current health situations, but they are people who watch the news just like most of us and I can't help but wonder how well informed they really are...

Well this post has gone on long enough so ill cut it here..

Glad to be aboard, and hope we all can stay that way!

Glad to meet you, I'm not organized enough to do the stuff you are talking about but my bit to help is I ordered several inexpensive starter kits and letting smokers that show an interest have them at cost.

I figure strength in numbers plus I honestly do feel that vaping is better than analogs so maybe I help a few freinds kick tobacco.

Welcome to ECF, and congratulations on your transition into vaping. I believe myself that the best thing we can do is spread the word. Word-of-mouth is one of the best, and definitely cheapest method of advertisement, and this is a similar concept. What people lack is actual experience and what they have an abundance of is propaganda. Since they don't know themselves what is propaganda and what is true, they believe it as the truth.

I've started with the smokers, as this appeals the most to them obviously, I've gotten some co-workers very interested. And if they decide to switch over, they will do the same as me. A lot of my friends know about it, smoker and nonsmoker alike. I've told them the good, the bad, what the FDA's opinions are, and why I don't agree.

Rumors spread like wildfire, but so does the truth. It's just the people whom spread the rumors are much more vocal than the people who contain the truth. Speak up, and word will spread.

Welcome!

I agree completely! I've been telling everyone about these so far i have at least 2-3 friends interested, my brother just ordered his and is planning to quit analogs when it comes in, my gf lost the one i had given her and now shes waiting for me to place my next order and she is quiting when it gets in (i just started and need both my remaining batts to get through the day), and my GF's dad has no ordered an ecig as well. The more people on board the better!

p.s. one of the best places to drum up interest outside of your close knit group is in bars... drunks love the pretty flashing lights lol ;) just remember that you have to keep putting that cart in your mouth before you decide to pass it around
