You need to start with small samples Jezz...so you can taste out what you like..NEVER buy big bottle because you may be stuck with something you don't like...Also after you have been into it a little longer check out PIF..it is a place where you can also trade and try out all kinds of juices.;) Flavors? It really depends on what you like..Tobacos, Fruity There are so many, test out a few..

If you're just starting to vape then more than likely your tastebuds haven't recovered yet so I'd stay away from anything fruity or sweet. I vaped menthol liquid for the first couple of weeks that I vaped, and then noticed that I could taste my food/drinks a lot more than I used to. I decided then to branch out into other flavors. I'm currently vaping TV Tastyfinger and Pina Colada, and they taste PHENOMENAL.

But yeah, if you're just starting out, I'd recommend sticking with tobacco or menthol flavors until your taste buds recover. And definitely get a Riva or eGo. You can't go wrong with the 510 atomizer, and the longer battery life is such a huge plus. It's better to carry two batteries to an 8 hour shift than 4 batteries + charger.

Here's some vendors that I use and can vouch for their great products and service:

Altsmoke:
AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | | Main

Cignot:
Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store.

Tasty Vapor:

Jezzebell,
I'm relatively new at this but have dove in head first regardless. I too started with the 901. Since then I have discovered, as a heavy vaper:
Get extra atomizers. My 901 atty's lasted about two weeks. Whether this is normal or I got too much juice on them I don't know.
Extra Batteries. You can get larger batteries for the 901, the same ones as used on the KR808 make. Starter kit batts are what, 180mA, the long 808 batts are 380mA. Plus they're sexy as hell. I recommend a pair of manually operated ones.
Juice I'm still hashing out, but empty carts and a bottle of juice beats pre-loaded carts in my book, both for cost and taste.
An additional charger or two. It's so disappointing to get caught with your pants down and having to go back to analog ciggies for want of a charged battery.
A good case for all the paraphernalia. I use a big OtterBox, they make smaller ones, but that is a matter of taste and convenience.

I would suggest the ego..It is a 510

I really wish people would stop making this statement, especially to new vapers. It's confusing enough trying to understand all these names and model numbers without making statements that simply aren't true.

Being compatible with 510 attys and cartos does not make a PV a 510. The eGo is not a 510 anymore than The Buzz, The Chuck, or the Silver Bullet are. Just like these mods, the eGo is in a class above the 510 due to its extended battery life and its ability to use either 510 attys or cartos or the eGo attys and cartos.
