Hi everyone, hope all had a great Halloween! Well I sent in the gift suggestions I would like/use but after I sent it I did'nt have that happy expectant feeling of what I'd get and from who etc.I'm not trying to put a guilt trip or any thing like it on anyone But I felt more and more that the good Lord was putting something on my heart so I did this ;I pmed D lite and changed my gift wishes to instead whomever gets my name to please use the $20.00 to buy either a gift for a childrens charity or contribute it to a local food box charity. In the past my family has had hard times and have been the recipients of such charity.I realize it's not that much but I really don't need any thing and I will have more joy knowing someone will have a little better holiday.I see the homeless on the streets, cold then go to Walmart and see blankets for $5.00 each.$20.00 thats 4 warmer people. Please don't feel like this is something you need to do,I'm sure alot of you already have your own earmarked charitys or not and that is fine too. This is just what I feel is right for me.God bless you all;each of you are so special in your own way and that is what makes PIF group one that I am proud to be part of.Thanks for listening ;I'll climb down from the soap box now!LOL GKK:)

I had never been one to donate a lot, but since I started my most recent job they are constantly doing give back types of things. I've donated to goodwill, salvation army, the united way, volunteered time helping build a house for habitat for humanities, gave blood and 17 inches of hair~! I'm tapped out as far as giving....both kidneys are staying with me:)

Very cool of you GKK! We take toys to the Marines every year for Toys for Tots. It feels nice knowing I have brightened at least a few children's holidays. Plus it is fun going to see the yummy Marines too, lol!

LOL I completely agree and the yummy Marines ARE such a nice added bonus!!!
On a side note, I have a Daisy Girl Scout Troop (Kindergarteners) and we have adopted an angel. They are so stinkin' excited! Right now, they are doing extra chores to raise money to go shoppng for our angel (our angel is a little girl that is their same age) and they are constantly talking about what they can do for her--so precious and they make me so proud!!!
