Troutspinner - I'm about 4 hours behind you in my transition to vaping. I too am pretty amazed at how quick I'm transitioning. I did have 1 analog this morning with my first cup of coffee. I think that was mainly to see how my throat handled the smoke.

One thing that I'm having troubles with is that I'm finding that vaping seems harsh and I tend to cough more than I would have thought. I'm assuming that it has to due with breaking in the atty's and/or the juices that I received - Curtis's Coffee (16mg) and Energee (11mg). Placed orders for a bunch of different juices last night. Now to find that sweet spot - good times!

I gave up smoking five years ago (a horrible-painful process without vaping) after smoking for 30 years. Then I started smoking again in Nov (Mother died) and was smoking up until I got an npro a week ago -

Anyway, the first time after a quit smoking after 30 years, I had a dreadful cough for over a month - my doctor said it was my lungs cleaning themselves out after 30 years of tar - that may be what is happening to you and may not be related to vaping

Are you using a standard 510? My initial thoughts are try not inhaling so much at first as you did with analogs but rather suck in and blow out as well. Juices PG/VG ratios may cause that too I think as I'm noticing the same thing this morning and the only difference is I have new juices.

I am using the eGo with the regular and LR 510 atty's that came with it. I had been thinking that the harshness is due to the atty break but am now starting to think it is due to the juices. We'll see after I get my orders in. I guess I should have ordered before my eGo arrived. Part of my orders included mixes (PG/VG) of various flavors ranging from tobacco to fruity and different mg (18 and 24). I have a 35 year 1 to 1.5 pack of Marlboro Red a day analog habit.

Even with the harshness and the occasional cough (much better than when I started 2 days ago) I have only had 2 analogs! I'm VERY happy with vaping and VERY suprised at how easy the transition seems to be going. I even sat out on the back porch this morning with my morning coffee and the newspaper and vapped away so this is fitting right into normal life.

Keefer,

I did not realize you were in Sellersville. I am in Gilbertsville, not too far from you. So you know, there is a Pennsylvania group on this forum as well as they are having meet soon. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

FYI. I am on day 3. Still no analogs and I am willing to wager that there will never be an analog again. Like Keefer said, this is starting to fit into my life quite well.

I did have one really strong urge yesterday but I can honestly say it was not for a cigarette, just for nicotine. I vaped a couple more hits and was good to go.

I still am in disbelief about how easy this was. I guess I also have to say I am still in disbelief how good I feel also. I feel REALLY good. No coughing, wheezing, just pure air into my lungs and my lungs feel like they can do anything I want. Heck, I've been talking about getting back into hockey, maybe it is actually that time. Things already smell and taste better and my energy level is great. I could go on but there are thousands of posts on this forum they say the same thing.

This vaping thing is for real. I can understand why the FDA and states want to shut this down, it works! Why the heck would we want to get rid of that many tax payers! ;)
