why is it that the "quit or die there are no safe alternatives to smoking that aren't FDA approved" articles ALWAYS mention bidis and even more odd Kreteks as not being a safe alternative to cigarettes? It's just so weird because:
1. nobody smokes or has even heard of bidis outside these articles, except maybe people from India, and even if they have, who would think they're any safer? they're basically cigars only instead of tobacco leaves they're wrapped in Tendu leaves.
2. Why are kreteks even singled out as other tobacco products, they're just clove flavored cigarettes, WHICH ARE BANNED IN THE US!
What's the point in even mentioning these?
