Just another Newbie

Hi,
I quit smoking 6 months ago but it was something I couldn't stop thinking about/even dreaming about. SO someone in my lung cancer support group mentioned the e cig and I bought one. Of course then I found this forum which has been great. I have been reading it for 3 days straight.
I found I didn't really need or want the nicotine (but haven't found 0 nic cartridges or flavors yet) but the hand to mouth action.
I probably don't use it as much as most people on here but it provides REAL relief for me when I feel like I just can't stand it anymore and I want to buy a pack. I am actually preferring the e cig to regular cigarettes though I don't remember what regular cigarettes taste like. I did buy the cheaper version- the r n 4081- but I couldn't resist the two complete cigs shipped for under 50 and so far no probs except I would like to find the zero cartridges.
You guys and gals are so informative and this site is great!
Cheers

Welcome, Marian.

You don't need 0 nic carts unless you want the tobacco flavor. If fruit or other flavors are OK, you can just use Bickfords flavors. They are primarily PG, just like e-liquid, so they vaporize just fine. Just make sure you get the PG based flavors, not alcohol or soy oil based. Bickford Flavors

Thanks, I am going to do that next week.
And I just put drops on my cartridge right?
I read about you guys dripping on the atomizer but
don't understand- maybe there is a video on you tube.

And well, when I get my CT chest scan next month- we will see
if anything looks unusual. (hoping none of this e-smoking is
worse than the regular smoking)
When you get x-rayed as much as me
I guess a little paranoia starts to set in ;-)

Here's a link to some tutorial videos Marianne - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/2562-helpful-links-videos-new-user.html

This is a link to the diy eliquid board, you'll find lots of information on how to make your own juice there - DIY e-liquid - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

You can drip pure propylene glycol Bickfords flavours as Leaford said and you can also make your own cocktails with various ingredients. Not being restricted to finding a source of nicotine leaves you plenty of options.
