Hi,

I'm a noob and this is my first post (hi!) but I found what I think is a pretty good starter kit. Basically, I wanted something cigarette-sized, w/ good batt. life and upgradable options. After hours of research (and being slightly overwhelmed) I stumbled onto something called a micro ego kit. I picked mine up from hoosier - KGO batteries 1100mAh (don't know why the link says batteries).
It's everything you need to start vaping, all I had to get separately was some e-juice.and the size is perfect - all put together it's the size of a regular cigarette (not a 100 or 120 like the disposables/510's) and it's an ego so the batt. should last longer than the other cig-sized options. It comes in a little case with everything you need and is really pretty cool. Very easy to fill with juice, you can take it with you wherever you go and it's got an ego battery...seemed like the perfect compromise to me. So far I'm very happy w/ it (just came in a few hours ago) and just wanted to pass along the suggestion to other overwhelmed noobs :). Can't wait for my order from velvet vapors to come...got 3 5ml sample packs (5 flavors each). Great forum btw, utterly overwhelming at first but a great forum...

Nice kit darkhood. Hoosiers is a good vendor. I've bought some stuff from him. Those batteries should give you about 3.5 hours of vape time. They are 350mah. 100mah equals about 1 hour of vaping, so that's how to work out approximately how long your batteries will last before needing a charge.
There are some cig size batteries that last almost as long as that at 320mah, but most wouldn't.
Very nice stealthy size with yours.

Thanks for the replies and info. Ya 3.5 hours is fine for me- a whole lot better than the 21st century kit I was using. I have a question about the cartos if someone could help. The first one I filled I burnt cuz I only put a couple drops in, my question is how do you know when to refill it? Is there like a hits to drops ratio or something lol? I'd like to avoid burning anymore if possible. The cartos that came with the kit are super shorties if that helps - seems like they only hold about 5-7 drops.

A standard carto will take about 20 drops to fill. You can tell its running dry when the vapor drops signifcantly, or you get a funky dry horrible taste. Ideally you don't let it burn. If you get a slight burnt taste you can stop and refill though - I've done that lots and its been fine.
Once you get used to how long they last just top them up with some more drops. It's best not to let them get completely dry, but not the end of the world if they do.
