Hey just wanted to drop a line and say hello to everyone out there in ECF land. Obviously I am new, been searching in the shadows on the site for past couple of day researching. Finally went ahead and ordered a VOLT starter kit from smokeless image. Should be getting it tomorrow. Really looking forward to being broken in to the vaping community and giving up analogs.

So just a few ?'s to get started. Sorry, I'm sure these are answered all over the place but after searching this site I am on information overload and my head is spinning. That and I need to start posting somewhere.

Can I reuse the prefilled cartomizers with the same flavor bulk liquid? If so how many times?

Should I store the bulk liquid in the fridge at home? and how much do you normally keep on hand?

I smoke 1/2-3/4 pack a day of camel light 99's, what would 12mg or 18mg be better or is it more of a test and see?

Do they leave any funky odors if you use them in the house? This is more for the fiance who wants to know

Thanks for any answers

I started with the carto and refilling them, I got anywhere from 20-30 times. Cleaning never worked for me. Moved on to clearomisers and thats where I am at now. Bought bigger batteries than our starter kit to have longer life. and less freaking out when the little 808's go dead on the road.

No smell to worry about at all. I bought new truck 6 months ago and it still smells new.

I've never used the Volt, so I don't know much about it, but I'm sure you can reuse the prefilled cartos. Cartos work until they don't work any more or until they start tasting funky. If they burn out, throw them away. If they taste funky, you can clean them by boiling them and get some more use out of them. See YouTube for videos on cleaning cartomizers. I'd had mixed success.

You don't need to store the juice in the fridge. But keeping it in a dark cool place, or at least out of direct sunlight, is best.

12mg MIGHT be strong enough, but you should probably start with 18mg to make sure you get enough nicotine and a strong enough throat hit. You can always step down the nicotine if you need to.

No, it doesn't leave any funky odors unless you are vaping a really funky tasting juice. My wife only complained about one juice I've ever vaped, which was a seriously funky tasting Expresso that was just nasty. I've had plenty of people at my office say "hey, that smells good!"

Okay, I am totally new but I have managed to refill my Volt cartridges. I bought 5 Ry4 pre-filled cartridges and a bottle of the ry4 liquid. I don't know how many times I can do that.

I just ordered some blank cartos so that I can maybe try some other juices. Hubby's friend at work DIY's. They are in the mail now.
PS From one noob to another, Hi!

You can re-use cartos with the same flavor without any problems. Number of refills will vary, it depends how long the atomizer lasts. I'd say my carts lasted a few weeks when I still used them.

I wouldn't store the liquid in the fridge. I keep mine in a cupboard where it's dark and cool. Too much light can negatively affect nicotine.

It's better to try several different nicotine levels to see which one works best. It's also convenient to have a higher level one for when you really crave a cigarette, and a lower one for regular everyday use. You might want to start out with 18 being your higher level and 12 being low. I smoked 1/2 a pack a day and I settled on 12mg for everyday use.

There's no lingering smell. There may be a faint odor when you vape, depending on the flavor, but it dissipates quickly.

I have several "tips and tricks" and "how to" videos on YouTube about the volt.
Here's my channel. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC26Cs_xBdH-qswIi7qKE7BQ?feature=mhee

In answer to your questions.
Yes, you can refill them, several times. I have refilled SI cartos as many as 30 times.
You can store in it the fridge, but it's not necessary
Get one of each and test. I would say 12mg, but some people need more.
You only smell it for a second, and it doesn't linger. The odor is whatever flavor you are vaping, for example coffee. I vape 4-6ml a day in my room and it has no odor at all.

I am also another newbie here! And to the whole vaporing thing....got a Blu starter pack a month ago, then spent a week working up the courage to leave the analogs behind. It's been 3 weeks so far and I have to say....I'm not mad at this. I still get the urge for a cigarette now and again, but I have to say I am not yelling, kicking or screaming. My mood hasn't changed and I don't feel like I'm drowning in my need to 'pick up'. I'm still trying to learn more about the research and the legalities and all, but I would say it's been a pretty good experience so far. I quit for the fiancee too, and he is thrilled with the lack of smell in the house and on me. I don't know about Volt, but I started with a disposable as a trial (20 mg), then their 16 mg (High) and just started the 8 mg (Medium) dose of Nicotine. In another week or so, I am moving to the 4mg (Light) before switching down to the Non-Nicotine e cig! Good luck to you.

Nice to meet you DarkMyst:) I'm doing it more to just make a change. I love the act of smoking but just hate the side effects. I tried a blu disposable last week cuz I'd been thinking about getting a blu premium100 pack and really liked it. The magnificent menthol was pretty good just a lil strong on nicotine for me. I decided on the volt cuz I can buy blanks and refill with my own liquid which sounds like it'd be awesome to get started doing.
