Ok I just got a smoktech U-DCT tank in the vape mail today. I primed the carto and filled the tank. I made sure the carto and flange were seated properly then put on the locking collar and placed it on my smok tech gripper and took a vape. I got no air flow whatsoever. I then tried it again without the collar and same thing. Does anyone know if it is me or the tank. Any ideas?

I'm assuming you are getting airflow through the tank when it's removed from the device, yes?

The locking ring on the UDCT sits a bit lower than the flange, obviously this has to be done in order to lock the flange in place. Some devices don't give good (or any) airflow with the UDCTs because of that locking ring. With the ring removed you should be getting airflow, slide the tank up a tiny bit and see if your airflow improves.

The only other thing I can think of, is that your carto doesn't have air holes in it. I've received a few Smoktech cartos that were totally missing the little airholes that are supposed to be right above the threads on the 510 connection. Without these holes you'll get zero airflow with the unit tightened down.

Did you check to make sure the air holes that I mentioned are present?

I've had a few come to me with absolutely no air holes. If you look at the carto, right above where the threads are, there should be two little tiny holes. If there isn't, you just have a faulty carto.

Yes I did although I have only found one hole.

View attachment 183220I had the same problem using these tanks with KR808D-1 carto's on V4L DAV batts...I drilled 4 small holes in the lock ring (as shown in the pic), and now it works like a charm!

Hope this helps!

Nice design I can see how that helps greatly with the airflow. I will give that a try.
