Hi and welcome!

Can't be of much help, but according to Kanger's webiste:

So... I'd check if everything is attached properly and all the contacts are clean?
Sorry, that's about all I can say, as I'm just looking for my first mod... :)

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
9.9 is an error code on that mod. It means the machine can't complete the circuit for some reason. Either something is not making contact or the coil is burnt out and no longer conductive. Take it apart, disassemble the tank and clean it. Replace the coil. Clean the mod 510 connection with a q-tip and alcohol. Make sure the mod 510 center pin freely moves up and down on its spring. If not, use more alcohol and work it up and down with a toothpick or any (non metallic!) probe.

if it is the kbox mini, it should be same mod that comes with subox mini kit - check your firing pin (brass colored pin at bottom of 510 connection where you connect tank to mod) - it may have gotten pushed down, you can try using a very small screwdriver (flathead) to pry it up gently, working around edges (and make sure mod is off, so you dont accidentally press firing button while doing this)... great little mods, but the fixed pin is somewhat notorious for getting pushed down, depending on what type of tank you are using (i generally only use mine with the kanger subtank/ subtank mini)... other connection checks as suggested by suprtruckr are a good idea also
