I quit analogs to go to snus about 3 years ago, then quit snus in November for ecigs. Since then I've been smoking Bloog exclusively and was unaware how advanced the vaping world has become. Since I go through about 3 Bloog cartos (and batteries since they don't last long) the eGo really intrigued me. My wife and I got an eGo-W at a mall kiosk just to try it out and I loved it, so I decided to see what my real choices were on here. This is what I ended up ordering:

1 x joyetech eGo CE4+ clearomizer set http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/e-cigarette-starter-kits/joyetech-ego-ce4-clearomizer-starter-kit/
1 x eGo 650Mah passthru
Loads of PG juice

Did I make a decent purchase? Is there anything I should know? For how many refills should each clearomizer last?

And lastly, of course, is there anything else I should get when this runs out? SmokTek dual coil maybe?

One more thing, something I'm kind of worried about. Living in NJ, I'm not big on the idea of cubic .... tons of vapor like most here are. I'd rather be as discreet as possible and try to thin the exhale by holding my breath/rapid breathing. Will that even be possible with this?

Its a very nice setup and will hold you over well until if and when you decide to move up to an APV and even then it will be a great backup device. If you want to be discreet then straight PG will give you the least amount of vapor possible. The more you go VG on the mixture the more vapor and less throat hit you get.
As long as your vaping you will steadily be replacing everything in a rotation, you will always need attys/cartos and juice and you will be replacing your batteries every 6-12 months.
Stick around and keep reading and you'll be a pro soon enough, grats and welcome to ECF!

They will last a few refills then a lot of the time you just toss the dirty ones in some boiling water to clean em out and they are good as new again. Keep burning em till they don't burn anymore, then again try cleaning em you have a 50/50 chance on bringing it back to life yet again. They really do last a while once you get used to taking proper care of them.

You're awesome, thank you!

You always have the option of different ohm resistance cartos/atty's. (at least down to 1.7 ohms) The lower the resistance the more vapor and harsher the hit. Going up you can go up to at least 3.0 and still get some vapor. Many of the stainless cartos work nice in Plastic tanks too, so you refill less often. Tanks, like the Smoktech 1.5 DCC can also take other sized (resistance) cartos.

The Ego takes 510 threading so there's all sorts of things that'll fit it.

An atty is just the coil (heating element) and requires a cart filled with juice(not to be confused with carto/cartomizer) that not many people use anymore, or you can drip onto it. A cartomizer is an all in one upper that includes the coil/bridge and wicking material inside( you just fill it up and top it off from time to time, ie every couple hours). A tank slips over a cartomizer that has had 2 holes cut or punched in it near the bottom that allow it to get juice directly from the tank depending on the size of the tank it could last you days but you can only have 1 flavor in it at a time.. pretty simple, hope it helped.

Last question (pretty sure). The eGo C, from what I saw, has a multi-piece atomizer. Does that mean that the tank itself is permanent and you just have to change the atty head when it goes out?

So you'd get an eGo C, a couple batteries, and a few spare atty heads and you'd be good to go until you need a new battery?

Same goes for things like the SmokTek cartomizers or Vision Stone etc...you just replace the atty but the tank itself is permanent?

Again, I really appreciate all the answers. Reading the threads is good but I feel like I just gained a wealth of new info in this post!

You've got it. You may like the tank, I personally would just ditch the tank/attys you have and grab some nice Boge cartos or possibly the LR SmokTech Thunderheads and be happy as can be. You'll find what works for you, just hang around.

The aftermarket tank systems that are threaded in 510 for your batteries have an entire cartomizer and then a tank that fits around it, when the carto goes you just slide the tank portion over a new carto.

The particular Clearomizers you got with that kit can be cleaned with warm water, do not boil, and can be used over and over again, they are very durable and are a one pice design not a 2 or 3 piece, the atomizer is built in. They are Ego Clearomizers aka Stardust...you can do a youtube search and fins how to fill and clean them.

I'm not sure how I feel about trying the Boge cartos and Thunderheads. Right now I'm tired of filler material from the Bloogs along with needing to keep spares around since I go through them so fast...and of course just itching to find something new. Who knows though, I may end up going back to them.
