So I got this:

http://www.smoktek.com/SmokTek-eGo-...rette-Kit-with-carry-case_p_479.html?AffId=20

in the mail today (I was tracking the packaging since I ordered it and couldn't sleep last night like a kid on Christmas Eve) and I've been using it all day. My only concern is... I can't seem to find a user's manual. I know how to fill it and vape and whatnot, but I want to take care of it, and I really have no idea how or when to clean it, ditto changing the coils. I went to smoktek's site and couldn't find a manual or anything. Can anyone post me a link that can help me out?

Sorry and thank you.

Glad to see you got your kit!

Changing the coils: You do that when vapor production starts getting weak, or ceases altogether. But before you change the coil, make sure your battery has a good charge, and it isn't nearly dead, since you're using a fixed voltage device. As far as cleaning your batteries:

Also remember to do a 'dry burn' on your coil once in awhile (If your e-liquid is starting to taste burned, or muted) Also, with your particular changeable coil clearomizer, you can leave the center out of the housing completely, for dry burning. (Don't forget to remove the rubber tip off the top of your coil, for dry burning. Both cleaning methods are good:

Welcome , and a dry burn , is where you press the button for several seconds ( no juice ) after you have washed it in warm water , to remove the old juice . Lighting up the coil for a few seconds , at a time , will burn off the existing juice gunk ( residue ) Just don't hold the button down , for a long time , or you risk , burning out the coil . Just short bursts . Good Luck

Congrats on your new kit!!

Yeah, sadly in most cases the instructions are either going to be inadequate or non-existent.

Provided the juice you want to add blends okay with what you already have in there, you can just top off. If they are two drastically different juices, you might want to clean the old out first but you aren't going to hurt anything either way; it just may not taste so great at first.

You really need to watch the video to see what a dry burn is and how to do it without blowing out your coil ... but basically you are firing your battery with the empty clearo attached in order to dry it out and burn off any gunk. That said, if you do it too long you may cause it to overheat and burn out the heating element - the coil.

Vape On!

I can't say this enough-- thank you all for everything. Seriously, you are all awesome. I can't tell whether Renzuli actually normally types that way or is just mocking my ridiculous English major rhythm and over-punctuation-- either way, much love :toast: Again, thanks and cheers.

No mocking intended , I just type that way .

Last week I had my vivi nova filled with 50% Dekang menthol which I cut with VG to get it down to 6mg. Once that was gone (literally nothing left except in the wicks) I went right over top of it with Hazelnut Coffee. It was one of the most disgusting things I've every tasted in my life LOL. I ended up dumping nearly 3ml of juice down the drain and cleaning the Vivi to get that foul taste out. :D

I don't mind re-filling fruit flavors over fruit flavors. Some of them can be very pleasant, but then some taste like a feces covered breath mint.

haha yep you are a total noob if you are expecting instruction manuals...its ok most of us felt the same way in the begining...i'd venture so far as to say ecf is probably here due to the lack of instruction manuals

they are all either non existent or written in a bad chinese broken english translation

some exceptions might be the american mods
