I just came home with the Superior vaping Device from Vape Dojo. I never though I'd buy the Innokin SVD because it looked too similar to the VAMO in photos and let's face it, the VAMO is not a slick looking unit.

I was looking for a new VV mod that could take Kanger ego tanks so I decided to see if there were any new vaping stores in my area. I found one about 15-20 minutes from my house called Vape Dojo. What was better is they carried the SmokTech SID , which is the unit I thought I had wanted, and even though they were out of stock I was so happy to find a local vape store that I decided to pay them a visit. I thought I was just going to pick up an ego twist type of unit, but when I arrived I saw an Innokin SVD sitting on the shelf and it looked much better than it did in the photos. The more I learned about it, the more I wanted it so I bought one.

Compared to my VAMO, it is about the same size. It also seems to use the same chip. The differences are mainly reliability, build quality (polished aluminum vs brass), and appearance. For some reason, the SVD seems to hit a bit better (better wiring?) but my VAMO may have had issues from the beginning (it did not always fire when I hit the button and reset itself on occasion). Appearance wise, the SVD is a fairly slick looking unit. Just enough flash without going overboard and much classier than the VAMO. Due to being made out of aluminum, it is also seems much lighter than the VAMO (with 18650 batter and tank, it seems to weigh as much as the VAMO weighs without a battery or tank -- perhaps a little lighter).

So far I am pretty happy with this unit. There is still that annoying rattlesnaking thing with some atomizers or tanks, but it hits reliably and I like the way it looks. My biggest complaint is the draw is pretty tight with the Kanger MT3 (have not tried the T3 yet), and while you can make the draw a little easier by loosing it from the 510 connection a bit, I'm not really happy with that solution and it's still a hair on the tight side. Still, I might get used to it.

If you live anywhere near Ellicott City Maryland (in the Washington, Baltimore region), check out Vape Dojo. Their pricing is very competitive and it's about time we had a store in the area.

Overall, I'm one happy vaper right now.

Edit: The SVD seems tailored to left handed people. I wish they would put the + and - buttons back to the way PBusardo complained about and flip the screen instead for us right handed people (or maybe I need to get used to vaping with my left hand). When the unit is in your right hand and you turn the unit horizontally the way that feels natural, the screen is upside down. You have to do a bit of acrobatics in your right hand (or use two hands) to flip the unit horizontally in a way that does not feel natural in order to view the screen the right side up.

I have the MVP and it has the same issue. I have a SVD on the way from Fasttech and I was wondering it it would do it too. If you find a solution other than loosening it a turn or two please post it.

I ordered the SVD after seeing it in person compared with the vamo. The vamo just didn't appeal to me in the looks department for some reason.

All Innokin devices rock... and the upcoming MVP and VTR will only add to the popularity. The 134?... well, well have to see. ;-)

If the draw is tight on any clearomizer, make sure the 3-4 vent holes drilled through the side of the base go all the way through to the inside threads. If they don't, you can try poking them all the way through with a heavy duty pin, or if you have a small enough drill bit, drill them out.

Thanks.

After a little more investigating, it seems the air holes on the base of the evod are just covered up by the threads of the ego connection.
Mmmmm... If I understand what you're saying, that's normal and unavoidable. The holes going all the way through are what matters. If you cover one or two on the outside, you'll notice that the draw changes from airy to hard, and most hard when all 3 or 4 holes are covered. I actually use a o-ring to cover 2 of the holes so I get a draw similar to a unfiltered cigarette. You can use a piece of tape to get the same result.
