The RN4081 was the first e-cig I bought. I loved it, and have to thank it for being the reason I do not smoke tobacco cigarettes today! The only complaint I had was the battery life. Mind you, then I did not know the difference. In your case, you are used to the battery life of an M401. So the battery on this one will most likely frustrate you. I just remember being lucky to get 3 hours out of it. Other than that, the atomizer is rock solid, much sturdier than the M401s that you are used to. So you will probably like that about it a lot! Atomizer is much easier to drip into also if that's your thing. I rarely drip on the atomizer. All in all I think you will like the RN4081. But if you want to make the most of it you will need a couple of extra batteries and an extra charger. Have 2 batteries charging at all times. This is what I did and never ran out of battery life. Kind of a hassle. Let us know what you think when you get it!

It certainly looks like an RN4081. Not familiar enough with the other similar models to know for sure though. The USB passthrough is a godsend for home use. Tons of vapor, I think it runs a little hotter than the batteries, so be mindful. I now refer to on battery vaping as "going wireless". I have found 3 batteries sufficient to make it through a longish work day with enough charge left on the last battery to last while you've got the others charging. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to grab a USB phone charger for the car to plug my passthrough into while on the road. Hoping that it will make a mockery out of my insane DC to Richmond commutes and free up more battery time.

Ec and RN are totally different patents. - EC cost china approx 9.98 usd roughly the same from india. ( usd fob ( china / india) approx = England landed in GBP). EC is the poorer relation imho. solder joints fail quickly, with poor battery life. atomisers have a tendancy to over heat and burn out. make sure you can get replacements. for both main parts.

I really hope im proved wrong in your case. but with most Ecigs you get what you pay for.

Good luck and best regards

The RN4081, IMO, has been a very misunderstood e-cig. It's been bashed in the past as junk. The 4081 users are satisfied with the performance of the atomizers. They're really tough, and operate well on low voltages as well as high. The atomizers are inexpensive too. I've been using mine for 6 months now, and occasionally use my 510, but I always hit the 4081 when I want something reliable. There's a 4081 specific forum at;

I looked at the EC08, and I'm not 100% sure it's a 4081. It could possibly be a DSE103. DSE103 batteries and atomizers are interchangeable with the RN4081 with one exception.

Batteries are the same.
Atomizers have the same threads, and will hook up to either.

Differance;
The atomizers have different outside diameters.
If you use the DSE103 atomizer (High Bridge) you MUST use DSE103 cartridges.
If you use the RN4081 atomizer (Internal Bridge) you MUST use RN4081 cartridges.

Cheers;
