Just built my first coil :-)

Got allot of vape mail this morning one of the items being an IGO-W and some kanthal & Ekowool, so wanted to set it up for a go yep it was daunting and because using a Vamo knew needed to be over 1.3 5 wraps of 0.25 over 2mm Ekowool came out to 1.67ohm it's not pretty but know that more practice and I'll get better and better.

When i started making coils anything that did not go flying across the room in abject frustration was regarded as a success! so WTG!

I have one and the way I do is I have a little allen wrench that I wrap my wire around and then I slip it off and burn it with a lighter for ten seconds. I then put it back on the wrench and mount it on the IGO and slide the coil off the wrench and then I take rolled up cotton and slide it into the coil, I was hesitant at first but its a world of difference! And plus you can easily change out the cotton without having to rebuild the whole coil.

I rebuilt an atty....once. it wasn't too hard but it seems that all the rba's have wide bases and i prefer a more narrow atty for dripping.

cocacola31173 that's nearly exactly how going to do next the Ekowool didn't enjoy at all even though no burns and let it soak could taste something peculiar had torched coils etc so thinking that it's the Ekowool.

supertrunker I'm very impatient too and often things get broken in my temperament but even though fiddly had seen Todd's video about 10 times and just followed it and took my time.

JustMe2 the money I've saved on smoking and other habitual s has been put to good use

IndyJones the Igo-W RDA is 22mm but it's quite compact a space as dual coil i only set up as signal to test.

When i get time later i'll try building with cotton as purchased some Organic cotton balls for the job.

Congrats dude! I like Ekowool mysel. The fun part with RBAs is that you can customize your vape. For your next build, try a micro coil.

Jazzi Mike thinking it over was trying new juice and not tested in a tank yet so that may be the cause, i often find i have to attune to juice, ther also 18mg and i'm used to 12mg going to test in a tank and if too strong mix VG 3mg to 7mg juice.

What's classed as a micro coil as that was damn small lol 0.15mm with a 1mm wick?
