I have vaped Peach Rings, Razzle Dazzle, Apple Rings, Mango, TNT, Monster Melons, Grape, Banana, Unicorn Milk (disgusting), Heathen, and a few other ones I can't seem to remember at the moment. Most of which were good in taste but I always find myself still craving a cigarette. I want to quit because I hate smelling like an ashtray. I vape 12mg nic. Is it the throat hit? The tobacco taste? Would a tobacco e juice still have me smelling like an ashtray?

No. Tobacco ejuices don't smell like analogs. Maybe you need to increase your nicotine strength?

What are you vaping with? I find myself much more satisfied with my eleaf as I can turn up the heat and get bigger clouds when I feel it's what I want to do. For me, it's not just the nicotine but the whole inhale/exhale experience that I need.

Hi AppleAddict, Tobacco flavours leave no bed smells in my opinion. sure the vapour has a tobacco-esc smell but you will smell 100% better than with the stinky sticks. IMO tobacco flavours are a little sweet and smell a little sweet too.

Give them a go, there is no lingering horrid smell

Hi Apple,

A tobacco juice won't have you smelling like an ash tray, no. The smell lingers for the same short time as other flavours (except maybe bacon flavour which seems to come with a standard 'will stick to everything and linger' warning - yeah, think I'll pass ).

How many did you smoke? I wonder if 12mg nic is doing it for you. I can have all the vapour, strong flavour and throat hit I want, I still crave a cig if nic is too low. Cravings disappear immediately when I take a high nic hit - ex 30 full strength per day.

Currently vaping with an Evod 2, I find myself smoking half a cigarette every hour or so. I have a juice that is 18mg but I haven't vaped that yet. I'll try it and if it doesn't leave me wanting a cigarette then I'll bump up on nicotine. If that fails then I'll buy a tobacco flavor and see if that works out. Appreciate the quick responses. :)

I was a pack a day smoker and I started with 18 with 24 for emergencies. I still had cravings, I just had to vape through them. You still have to want to quit. Some people say it was instant for them, and that's great. I'm kind of jealous. Some people use both. I vaped and smoked for two weeks before I decided to switch completely.

But go for trying a tobacco flavor. You have to find what works for you:)

So I just read the label and it turns out I'm vaping 6mg. I told the guy 12! Anyway I have that 18mg so I'll vape that and buy a tobacco juice later at 18 if it's the nicotine issue. Thank you !

My guess is it is the lack of nicotine that is preventing you from taking that final step in getting off analogs. I was a pack a day smoker and when I started vaping, I started with 24 mg on blu's and then the Halo Triton. That made it easy to quit smoking altogether immediately and I haven't picked up an analog at all since then. Once I upgraded to a more powerful setup (iStick 30 and 50, Nautilus) the 24 mg was just too high and I dropped down to now I am vaping between 12-15 mg. This is all in a matter of less than 3 months.

Hi, Apple. Welcome to ECF! If you smoked about a PAD, likely that 12mg isn't enough nic. Definitely try that 18mg you have and see if it reduces the cravings. You may need to go up to 24 for a little while. As well, know that analogs deliver nic to your brain VERY quickly; vaping is a slower nic delivery system. So you may want to vape for longer sessions at a time. As others have said, you have to want to quit ... but lots of folks are "dual users" for awhile. Don't stress about it; just keep on trying! Best of luck to you.

36 nic seems to do the trick for me..... but then again I was at 2-3 PAD.... get some 24 nic and try it... if its too harsh, use some of the 6 nic stuff ( same flavor) and mix it 50/50 to get about a 16 nic juice, you can also reduce the amount of 6 nic when you mix to keep the nic a bit higher (18-20 ish)

It's hard to make the switch for some people. It took me many months to finally switch completely. I haven't smoked in 4 months. I used both vaping and niccotine gum (because I can't vape indoors at work) so I had a constant source of niccotine.

The last time I did I really didn't enjoy it yet, occasionally I find myself wanting one. Don't be discouraged by the stories of people who took of vaping and suddenly found they didn't like smoking anymore. It's like the stories of people who wake up oneday and suddenly decide to quit smoking and do it cold turkey. It happens but from what I've seen it isn't the rule. Most of the smokers I know have tried vaping and it didn't help them quit.

Tobacco flavours don't taste much like cigarettes, they're more like cigars and good to mix with other flavours and the smells goes away quick like any other vape flavour.

While the forums is full of stories from people who once they tried vaping they never smoked again, there are also a lot of us that continued to smoke while we vaped (called dual users), many do this for up to a year. A few I know even after a couple of years still dual use.

The important thing is to not beat yourself up over it, that may likely drive you to smoke even more. Always remember it isn't about how many you might have smoked that day, but how many you didn't, and even cutting back 1 or 2 a day puts you on a road to being healthier.

I struggled to give up my sticks when I started vaping as well. Swapped back and forth between the two many times. For me it was upgrading mods more so than upping the nicotine level. my new istick 50w and melo tank finally made the difference for me. I keep tobacco juice as well as fruit and dessert flavors on hand to keep me satisfied. Pinup vapors is my current new vaping love. Hang in there.

This is my first post btw. Glad to find a place to discuss all things vapor.

I had to know that vaping would give me my nicotine needs, AND, I couldn't taste crap. So, I got rid of cigs and just carried my SID/Protank2 around. I think there is an attitude needed, but I still needed to know that I would get my nic. I got confidence.

Also, I had back-ups. Failure is not an option. Keep working it. No mercy.

Hope helps
