Interesting idea. I love reading about new ideas and possible improvements in vaping. I know it takes around 1000 volts to create a 1mm arc. That may be a problem idk

Not necessarily. A laptop lcd screen inverter with a CCFL backlight has an input of 5v DC and outputs around 1100 v AC.

getting high voltages is actually very easy, inductor will attempt to maintain the amount of current coursing through it no matter what so if you for example charged one up with 1 amp passing through and then suddenly hiked the resistance in series to a bazillion then the inductor will produce(as long as it has charge) the required voltages to overcome that resistance no matter how much it takes. The real issue is with insulation, since the discharge will take the route of least resistance it would be very difficult to get the arc going where you want it

I want my juice atomized and thrown thru an arc of current for igniting. No wick, no wire. Maybe someday...

You should do a bit of research about Spark Gap. HV Discharge release Ozone , that will burn your lung and its HIGHLY toxic. Just make a simple spark gap and run it for like 15 sec , you will smell the ozone.

Best Regards,
Eric
