V - maybe you can help Sun and myself. What about the Palm Pre Plus is better than the Droid (Verizon)? I really do want to know. I like the screen of the Droid but I don't want to be sucked in because of just that.

V--I would like to know this as well. I have looked at the Droid and am not sure, but do want to stay with Verizon--any help there?

Thanks,

Sun

Sorry for the late response. Didn't get any E-mail notices?

Well it comes down to preference.
I personally LOVE my Palm Pre Plus and what it can do.

$50 for 2 phones (Think this may be new customers only??) plus the WiFi hotspot is FREE now. Used to be $40 more on your bill.
How can you go wrong there?
Also, it's an awesome phone! LOL

I would CALL Verizon or visit an actual Verizon store and see what they can do for you. Just don't let them talk you into buying a device you don't want. The stores like to do that. ie go in for a PALM Pre Plus and walk out with Blackberry.

PALM is down but not out by a long shot. Anyone who thinks so isn't doing their homework.

This is a fan made video about the Palm Pre/Plus
It's really a better phone system than people think it is.

I am able to from my Palm Pre Plus.
this thing rulz!!

another great phone(atleast the palm pre and your plus is just more speed) almost got it but needed more apps :(

to the people who asked about the palm pre and currently had androids....

Pre keeps all your apps that are running right in front of you letting you slide your finger form the main menu to "throw them away" GREAT feature for saving batteries...switching between 2 apps is 10 times easier to do than any android phone I have ever used.

Also android has all the apps "hiding" in the backgroudn that you may or may not even know is killing your battery pre doesnt...

android has a huge app market compared to palms 1,000 apps on january 1st 2010 Palm App Catalog - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
android had over 30,000 and many coming everyday

to be honest if palm had access to all the android apps....I would have a palm ATM...

I love my motorola cliq, the screen is huge, the camera is incredible, and seeing the screen is not at all a problem. I can surf the web and post on the site. I can even post pics from my phone straight to Facebook, Myspace, or even to email. I went with T-Mobile only because I researched the pricing very carefully. The other thing I really liked about the Cliq is the slide out qwerty keybaord, I don't have to tap the touchscreen to text. You can see videos and reviews of just about any phone on cnet.com. that's where I did much of my research.

I'll be getting a palm pre-plus in a couple of months, trading up from a centro when the discount is right. I looked at both the droid and the pre-plus, but I use my cell as the modem for my laptop and the droid doesn't tether as easily

PDA net app(free from android market) = free thethering with a click of a button and of course connecting it to a computer...

Palm Pre Plus = no tethering needed. App included with the phone that makes your phone a connection point. It's like carrying your cable company in your pocket.
Also there are about 2000+ apps now for the WebOS on the Pre/Pixi and more everyday.

Android is a great OS as well and has a lot of apps.
Good luck in whatever you guys decide to get.

I have an iphone. I love it. It is, hands down, the best phone I've ever owned. I'm not sure how I got along without it!

(It's not really the apps so much for me. It's the ease of use. I had an original iphone, then I got the 3G. I haven't upgraded to the 3Gs, though my husband has. The 3G is perfectly serviceable, so there was no reason for me to get a new one.)
