Thanks Leonardo. Next question what and where do I buy the best next thing to a real cig?

Well, I am not sure if you want 'the next best thing' how about the best at something totally different?

As you will see from my posts, I am a 510 fan, and I do not use tobacco flavours... (I have strawberry, apple:D, mulled wine:cool:) and have just ordered black cherry and cherry coke.... I am really trying not to emulate smoking, but find something that kills the nicotine cravings and is different.

As far as US suppliers go, there are people in the states who can give far better recommendations than I can, as I am UK based and buy from UK suppliers. This thread that we seem to have hijacked is a good start point for you and I would have a think along the posts here. BTW sorry Aiden for the hijack! vaping is not smoking and I really would suggest you treat them as 2 different experiences. I know that the guys do mention disposable e-cigs and maybe that could also be something for you to look at to 'try before you buy'

if you have any other questions that are not geographically based, please PM me and I will be more than happy to answer any questions I can :D

let me know how you get on:thumbs:

Hi Aiden,

Well my 510 starter came with both batteries, and I guess the starter kits are the same in the US.....

That would be a good start I think. I am still using the same atomiser that my kit came with... Not had a breakdown at all and in fact I still have not opened the spare cartridges that came with the kit. So for reliability the genuine Joye510 would be my recommendation.

As you will notice though, there are as many preferences as there are e-cig/juice combinations so you will never get one definative answer... I would suggest that you stay with the brands that have a following such as the 510, the kr8 or the 901..... as these have a following for a reason:)

Also I do speak to my supplier by email with any questions and I guess your supplier will also be as helpful so try emailing the supplier and request that the kit has both styles of battery regardless of which kit you go for...

hope this helps

(ps, not cleaned the atomiser either and so as far as maintenance goes, I find that I just don't have any other than charging batteries)

I don't know about flavors, I'm still shopping around to learn what I like. I do know greemsmoke dot com makes a PV that's the same size as an analog. it's a branded E9, so you could also do a standard chinese E9, BUT.... I learned fairly quickly that the kr808D1 was a much better PV. it's a bit larger, but the battery will last a lot longer, the cartomizers will hold more, and they're far easier to find, and you can get blanks to fill with your own juice.

thanks
pat.

Okay, so I'm looking for reliability, good vapor, and perhaps a way to have both automatic and manual batteries (to see which ones I like best).

Good idea to find out. In the drop down you can get 1 manual and 1 auto batt. This is a great price on a full kit (no box) for a true Joye 510 (avoid clones at this point, imo). Some 510's go for $58+. This is $35.
Joye 510 NO BOX

Suggest picking up some Ecopure Rich or Regular as well - it's a high quality VG and the vapor it produces really shows off with the 510 atty. Over $59 total, gets you free shipping.

Aiden, I just wanted to respond to your effort to find a good cig lookalike. I can totally relate and the first order I placed was from GreenSmoke. Their pv looks a lot like a cig. I then, after hitting submit, went on to do more reading. I knew I wanted a 2-piece, so ended up with a vk/KR808. It doesn't look much like a cigarette, but when I'm out and about, I'm really glad it doesn't look like a cigarette. Especially with the new smoke-free restaurant laws, I'm glad I don't have to explain that it only looks like a cigarette. It's not. Really. And even though I started out wanting something that looked like a cigarette, that wore off really quickly. Vaping *is* different. I like it *more* and I think a lot of others do, too. I didn't have to 'fool myself' into pretending I was smoking to actually like it. Though, when I first ordered, that is what I had anticipated. e.g. "If I get a pv that looks like a cigarette, maybe I can just pretend it is a cigarette." Anyway. It's gonna be different and I'm really glad I stopped thinking about aesthetics and started thinking about functionality. And I know it's not a matter of being superficial but perhaps the idea that you think you are doing your addicted brain a favor. But I really don't think you will need to do that.

Any way you go, congrats! And I look forward to hearing about your experience. :)

Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. 510 No Box Kit.

$35 (if total order is over I think $65) with free shipping, and you can't loose.

I'd recommend the Joye eLiquid @ 18mg there for refills too, it one eLiquid I LOVE! (It is also the same eLiquid that comes filled in the 5 carts that come with the device (although 18mg might be considered Medium nicotine).

I have tried 2 others and I stay on my 510. It is barely larger than a cigarette. (Although I would recommend a big battery mod to start, like a CHUCK, BB, or SB because most people get annoyed with the batt life and swapping batteries like 4-10 times a day. I know that I will never go back to swapping all those batteries.)
