Looking For Suggestions

I'm new to vaping and am looking for a few pointers as to which started kit to invest my hard earned money in (this is my reward for judging debate tournaments). So in general what I am looking for.

1) I am a very vain person so appearance does matter to me quite a bit in my e cigarette. I would prefer it to be roughly the same size as a regular cigarette and I don't really like the aesthetic of cigarettes that try to look exactly like a regular cigarette, I more prefer the look of the black.

2) I generally smoke roll your owns, so vapor production, throat hit and raw amount of nicotine is also very very important to me (once again I work with high school debaters, I need a lot of nicotine to get through that). I'm aware that amount of nicotine is entirely dependent on the liquid I buy, so rest assured wherever you direct me, I'll most likely be buying their highest variety.

3) The PCCs look great to me and having one of those is really a top priority.

4) A compromise between aesthetic and vapor production / throat hit is to be desired.

5) I would Prefer an automatic battery.

6) So far in my searches (which have included digging through the threads here repeatedly, thank you very much all of you) I was dissuaded from my initial position towards Blu, due to horror stories about customer service (I likes me the customer service) and long shipping delays (aside from vain, I'm also impatient). This had me leaning towards Volcano which as I understood was pretty much Blu with good customer service and no shipping delays. Then concerns were raised about vapor production and throat hit, so I started poking around more. Right now I'm attempting to find an M401 kit with a PCC that is manufactured in the US. If anyone knows of a really high quality product in those specifications, let me know.

7) Despite my vanity and impatience, I am remarkably open minded and I will take all suggestions from anyone. I would say please try to keep what I'm looking for in mind. I will read and consider an entire reply explaining why everything I want is wrong, but I have been doing plenty of research on my own and am fairly confident in my opinions thus far.

So with that, any suggestions or ideas?

Yeah that's more or less what I've figured, but I won't exactly have the finances to get a new one right away (or for a very long time)... hence the truly absurd amount of research and mind changing... I understand that ultimately this will probably not be my e cig of choice, but it has still got to satisfy me until I can get more for comparison...

I'll save you some trouble. The atomizer that comes with every e-cig large or small comes from China. The only exception is so outside your parameters is not even funny. The only thing made in the US are some juices and big battery holders.

There are a few people around here that like the Blu/Volcano but they are few and far between. The most popular that come close to your parameters are- Joye 510, DSE 901, M401 and the KR808.

Good luck and have fun. Check out the library.

Welcome Cmagnificent! It seems that you have done alot of research and reading which is great and lord knows this is the place for reading!
Truthfully, until you get your first ecig and experiment, it is really hard to determine what you will/won't like. I started out with the Joye510 from Cignot and have not been disappointed. The kits, I believe start as low as $35.00. I get great vapor, great TH, it comes in many colors and with the regular battery (they also have a mega batt which is about an inch longer) the size to me is that of about a 100. The supplier also carries the PCC and all the other goodies. But of course this is just my opinion and you know what they say..........................

Good luck on your journey and let us hear from you once you get started on your vaping adventure!

Add one more that could be compared to Blue, the black Evo-lution from intellicig or intellicig-usa. I've done bussiness with the latter a bunch of times and no complaints, fast shipping, real intellicig parts. It was my first, I was after a small piece that resembled a real cig. Only compaint is I hit too hard for their new carts, get juice in my mouth, but I'm a dipper/dripper so it's a non-issue. I prefer the slightly longer, white 'Genie' Evo batteries over the black stock Evo batt, they last longer between charges. Size is not an issue, once you realize you can't burn yourself with the cherry, you most likely will not hold it like a cig very much, but rather like a pipe or a short cig .... (cupping it). Part of the reason I like the Genie is because it feels more ergonomic in my hand, better balance, believe it or not. All the 'real cig' desires kind of go out the window once you start to get used to a PV, you realize it's better than a cig, a different monster altogether, then desire to have the best of it's qualities. Maybe we all feel that our love for cigs has much to do with it's look and feel, when it really has to do with it's consistency and accessibility.

Once I got tired of the inconvenience of small batteries (vapor production drops when they get ready to die every few hours, makes me wanna light up), I purchased a Silver Bullet for constant, heavy vapor.

If I could start over, I'd probably go with the no box 510 from cignot to save money. After buying extra batteries, I have spent about 150-200 on my Evo's. But I do love the thick vapor from an Evo, I will have a 510 here shortly so I can do a side by side comparison.

I started with the Dura-C (510) and, while it is good, it just wasn't convenient for me. I have now gone with the TW Tornado (Janty eGo) and love it. It's thicker than an analog, but it's not at all bad. I have small hands and it fits well. This thing is good looking. It has a cap that covers the atty and really adds to the look. Lots of vapor and lots of flavor. I have now also gone with the mega attys and carts making a bit longer, but hold a lot more juice.
