That's too bad. Hopefully they are quick in getting you the replacement deck. You'd almost be better off ordering one from the ebay link I provided and just returning the faulty one to FT.

I have the BD v2 from FT, and really like it. Wonder if anyone can share or know of a different base that fits that would be a little easier to build on? Or a base that leans towards single coil builds? Secondly I noticed that FT came out with different colored tanks with that nasty knurling on top, I'll pass. A few days later they come out a very nice and clean clear tank top that looks really nice. I want one of these tanks but don't really care to get a whole nother BD, starting to get to much stuff sitting around.
I almost did just that, but I decided to wait because I got a few other new atty's to hold me over.

I just build a little above the deck and close to the posts...then push the coil down into the deck... When u push down the coils aligns perfectly.. I also build single coil twisted then take a long piece of cotton and run it along only the edges of the deck closing off all the air holes.. No juice leaks out
Coil placement is key on any build.
The Pontus is just lame.
You get all the bad parts of a TOBH, with none of the good.
Maybe if the Pontus was the first RBA I ever owned I wouldn't think so little of it, but I am so accustomed to flavor machines that intentionally using something that is mediocre at best (and uses the accursed tobh deck) is just a no go for me.
Sure it can produce respectable cloudage, but that means nothing to me if the flavor is average at best
What are you building your coil at to run it at 25+ watts? Seems like anything I try to run that high just tastes like burnt crap.
Just got mine from Angelcigs and have run through two tanks using a dual coal at 1 ohm ant 17 watts, I am loving the vape! Started at 10w, moved up to 20 w and back down to where I like the flavor best.
My local shop started carrying these recently and Im really tempted to grab one. The only carry the highest quality clones so for $37 and being able to walk out the door with a solid clone, Its getting hard to say no.
With kanthal I make a 0.5 ohm coil with 26ga or 24 ga

I ordered mine from slow tech, got it in today. Love it, hits like a truck, no leaking, just got to be careful and not hold down the plunger for too long I flooded it once LOL. But extremely satisfied with my purchase.
Which FT clones did you guys get?
I got mine from Ebay. I think it's made my HekVape. Very good quality. No complaints so far. Have had no leaving issues.
