Rip Trippers is a joke. I get great flavor and hits from my pontus.

I mean I respect your opinion, but his reviews have never steered me wrong. I have made most of my purchase decisions from his reviews, and coil builds etc...

And everything he says about the products that I own are spot on. Never have I gotten bad advice from his channel.

for what it's worth.... here is a thread talking about the 2...

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...stems/605747-pontus-vs-big-dripper-clone.html

My Pontus vs. Big Dripper Review: I was able to pickup the Pontus and the Big Dripper. I spent a lot of time with the Pontus since I received it first. It's not a bad device. I like the glass tank and you also get a spare glass tank in the box. It works ok. Just ok. The vapor and seems to get lost somewhere in the tube as it assends up thru the drip tip. The suggestion is to use thicker juice like 75/25 vgpg so it won't leak. I had no leaking issues. The flavor is muted and the vapor production should be more. It holds about 5mls of juice and on a long drive you wont have to worry about refilling.
My experience with the Big Dripper has been fantastic. It doesn't hold as much juice as the Pontus dripper. But the flavor and vapor is like that of a str8 dripper. The technology is similar but the BD has better airflow and I think thats what makes the vape so much better. I have to refill the BD 2 times before filling the Pontus. But with the great vape the BD offers, I think it's worth it. My pick is obvious the Big Dripper.

Ya, after seeing his Pontus review I trust anything he says even less than I already did.

Easy to find fault, but how many people in the vaping community know either you or I, just by our first names? He's built quite a business for himself, a loyal following, a juice line, apparel... So bash him if you want, but he's one smart cookie who didn't get the recognition he did by sitting around, finding fault with people he doesn't even know.

He's popular the way Affliction t-shirts are, by bros for bros. As you said, more power to him, but I am still free to think he's obnoxious, and plenty has been said about his strange bias for and against some products seeming to have more to do with his relationship with vendors than the products themselves. I'd say he can be informative, is entertaining to some people, and isn't necessarily very reliable. Yes, I'll freely admit that's just a random guy on the internet's opinion.

any leaking with the big dripper?

I'm trying to figure that out now. It seems I get occasional leaking through the hole that juices up the coils. That is probably my fault somehow. I'm still prone to making dumb mistakes with RDAs.

For illustration of that point, for some reason I left it lying sideways last night. Could have put it in my vape tray... All the juice leaked down onto the coils (but not out of the unit) I wouldn't call that a flaw, since who else would ever lay it flat all night? Dumb :)

Could it be because of the pg/vg blend? After ordering 2 of these (which I probably won't see for weeks), I'm wondering if my 50/50 juice will work in it or should I be out buying high vg juice?

I hope not... :(

Yups i need to replace the screws too, but i don't know where to get them

I sent a message to the site recommended to me. Haven't heard back. If I don't, I will call them. I'll let u know what I find out. On Reddit someone offered to send me one. But I know I will probably lose one again. Also on Reddit, someone told me the base of the Patriot & the Zenith are known to fit the BD. I did order a Patriot from Focalecig, like $6. Patriot is easier to build, post holes on BD are low to the juice well. patriot uses normal screws, those little grub screws are sooo easy to lose.. But I don't know how the airflow will be, if the airflow will be adjustable @ all. Little $ spent = little risk of trying that option.

I have only used 50/50 (& whatever ratio G2 Prime Vazilla is) & it works great.

Does anyone know where I could possibly find replacement set screws for the Big Dripper? I can't believe I already lost one, went to the hardware store & they don't have anything that small.

barbchris - you can message me and I can send you some screws for the big dripper.

I also spoke with one of the owners, Rob I believe, at Vape95.com and they have screws available and will be adding them to their website by tomorrow. I don't know what the price is going to be like but I know everything I've ordered has been fair and ships right out plus it doesn't seem there are many places to get them.

I'm getting leaks when I push the drip tip down. Man I'm soooo bummed cause of all the great reviews I'm hearing about this thing. My air holes line up, the screws work great but that damn leaking. Now instead of carrying a bottle of juice, I'm holding a napkin every time I push the tip down. I'm ready to just chuck it out the window.

Where is it leaking from?
