Just got a DNA 30. Need some advice.

I just got a dna 30, I've always just used the regular ego long cylindrical batteries like the vs-one from vaporshark.

I have a Kanger Protank 3 but noticed I can't really go past 12 or so watts without getting a nasty burning taste. I pretty much keep it at 7-8 watts. I feel like I'm not getting the full use out of this thing. It seems like I need to upgrade my tank to something that is made to work with the DNA 30.

My problem is that it's really difficult to find exactly what I need because there's so many different devices out there. So I figured I'd come here and tell my story and see what you guys reccomend.

I went from a protank 1 to a protank 3. I just buy the replacement attys and pop a new one in when I need it. I don't have experience with rebuilding attys and all that stuff I hear about but I know I can easily learn.

If someone could reccomend a device or two I should look at, I would really appreciate it. Then I can research exactly what I need to purchase and the whole building atty situation.

Try a nautilus. They're really good until you get rebuilding down. The Lemo is a pretty good rebuildable to learn on.

Aspire Atlantis is pretty awesome - I have been vaping it for a few days now so that is the I may hate in 3 weeks warning.
Lots and lots of RDAs too many to name.

Edit - I suppose this will also depend on the type of draw you like. If you are a lung hitter these will be great options. If you are not you will probably hate them. So hopefully some people who like a tighter draw will way in. I have a fogger v4 that is a great device just too tight a draw for me.

I disagree with everyone so far. Start with the benchmark of rebuildable tanks and get a kayfun. No way it doesn't blow the doors of your clearomizers. Simple, reliable, affordable, available, tons of accessories and in all stainless steel mode it's near indestructible. 30watts is plenty for all but insulator melting builds. Worry about crazy coils and big air, lung hitting stuff later when you get a dripping atty.

I agree with the kayfun, mostly. It's not too hard to learn on and the vape is so much better than a protank!
I've been hearing allot about the new aspire tanks but just can't bring my self to buy one, way too expensive for a replaceable coil atty.
if you want to learn to build, a kayfun style atty is a good place to start. so easy to build on!
They were very important in my personal journey towards the perfect vape. Although I don't use them much now.

I have to add this: I now vape on a zna, which does go to 30 watts, but rarely go above 8 watts! Anything over 10 doesn't taste very good to me. and with my set up, I blow clouds at 7 watts. So higher wattage is not as important as some may believe.

I just got a DNA30 and walked into the shop expecting to walk out with a rebuildable and having to learn a new coil.

I ended up getting the Atlantis tank and am very happy. Also looking into the Kanger Subtank. Both sell replacement atty's and are very low ohm to take advantage of the higher watts.

The atlantis could use a little more then 30w, that's why I'm looking at the subtank. The sub also includes the parts to rebuild, and holds 3x the juice.

Its much easier to learn to build on a dripper than a tank. If you mess up or dont like your build just open it up and redo it, no draining the tank or anything like that. My first rebuildable was am igo-l and I still use it today.

Well I only saw the first reply before and after a little research decided to try the Lemo. From what I've seen its very similar to the kayfun for a cheaper price. And it looks pretty easy to build the coil.

Kanger Sub Tank and .5ohm coil heads

Comes with a .5ohm head, a 1.2ohm head and a build base for building your own coils.
Best of both worlds. Allows for simpler transition and fallback if needed or desired.

After becoming comfortable with builds the World Awaits.

Taifun GT or Fogger V4 are great tanks for these box mods, if you're into building your own. If not, the Atlantis is pretty impressive with it's factory 0.5 ohm coil. That should allow you to go to 30 with no problems.

I drip with mine...I keep a Tugboat V1 on it and use it as my "Leaving the house for a bit" set-up.

You made a wise choice with the Lemo. I have 2 and prefer them over the KF. Tried dripping and it's not my thing. Speaking of not using all the wattage, I have a Sigelei 100w box and I may never need over 20 watts. I like the vape time with a 2 battery box though.

Cool, my mom also got me a Nautilus for Xmas and I just received the Lemo today. Really liking the Nautilus compared to the protank and I can't wait to try out the lemo.

One thing I noticed with the lemo is that the cotton on the setup it comes with doesn't look like it reaches far enough into where the juice will be. Would you guys reccomend not using that? I guess I'm going to have to pick up some cotton somewhere. Any reccomendations?

I started with organic cotton balls from wallgreens. They work well. I recently jumped to cellucotton (rayon) from sallys beauty supply and have been loving it.

Do not use the cotton that comes with the Lemo. The coils are great - I still have the originals in both of my Lemos. But throw that cotton away and get yourself some rayon. Cheap and it has worked better for me than even KGD:
