Just got a lemo but the coil doesn't glow.

I just got a lemo in the mail. I was surprised it came with a coil already installed. I hooked the base up to my dna 30 and fired it up but the coil doesn't glow. I saw a tiny bit of smoke and a very light burning smell, but no glow. It looks like it's installed perfectly. From the couple videos I've seen on YouTube, the coil started glowing like immediately once fired.

Im a total noob with anything rebuildable. Just wondered if this is normal or you think I should just try building a new coil.

I suspect the 510 pin on the atty isn't connecting with your mods 510. The Hana's 510 is not adjustable so you're going to need to unscrew the 510 pin on the Lemo out far enough to connect on your mod.

Yes, I ended up giving my Hana away as none of my attys fired on the damn thing without having a screw driver. Also would help to know how much experience you have with Rebuildables as well as what wattage your Hanna is set to?

Both of my Lemos came with the 510 screw slightly recessed enough to where it doesn't make good connection. Try unscrewing the 510 screw on the Lemo, adding a small o-ring on it, then screw it back in.....this should help it to "poke out" a bit more so that you get a better connection.....

Did you get a reading on your mod - I read somewhere the stock coil is around 1.1Ω maybe needs more watts.

I tossed the stock coil and built one.

My mod has spring 510 lemo fires great - No adjusting needed but apparently that could be an issue.

Did you add juice to the coil before you fired it. It won't glow because there is cotton in there.

Try bringing the 510 pin down a bit. It's on there pretty tight when you first get it, but once you unscrew it the first time it's good to go. That stock coil is pretty beefy so you may need to crank the watts up a bit at first to get it going.

Also, madvapes sells a spacer disc that can be used to shorten distance in the 510 connection when you can't adjust pins.

Same problem I am having with my Plume v1.5 RBA.
Get a circuit spacer or 2, thats what I am going to have to do with my Buffalo Mod to Plume Veil RDA

That's cotton in there.....did you dry fire it? If so, the wick is torched and you have some re-wicking to do.

You may need to adjust the 510 screw on the Lemo for better contact. Initial adjustment will probably require holding the the cylinder inside the lower base section with a small pliers while you loosen the screw from the other side. Once it's loose, it should adjust easily from here on out.

I took the cotton out before I fired it.

I tried loosening the 510 connection but it wasn't budging and I didn't want to mess anything up. I did tighten the lead screws just a tad and that seemed to work. Now the coil is glowing.

What does your mod say when you try to fire it? If there is no connection it should tell you.
