I'm not going to add to the above 2 posts other than to advise you to look at how long the person making suggestions has been a member here. You're going to be flooded with advice, but those who've been around here for awhile will do their best to stir you in the right direction.
Good luck

I've had an issue with this today. Im just new to the site, but have been vaping for over a year now. I wont try and steer anyone to bad deals, simply because I dont like them myself. Granted I havent tried everything under the sun, what I do point anyone to is worth checking out. A person gains quite some knowledge when vaping this long. I still get questions and weird looks from people who dont know what the hell Im doing, but I still like explaining it to some degree. Might seem like a newb tactic to vaper vets longer than myself, but if I can win someone from analogs to digital, then we all win.

No disrespect or drama to yiddleboge6 at all - just getting a foothold in here is all.

But yes, many people do go with the Ego version over the other. Not sure why yet, as I had great success with "the other". At any rate, good luck to you, and its all about research (though it might seem tedious) and whats right for you.

Hi Again Stormchaser. Just loooked again at the 21 website and as best I can tell your blackjack looks like a kr808d-1 thread. Now I dont own any Kr808 equipment but I do know that if your threading looks like this Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | you can pick up the cartos from Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Refill Cartridges or E-Cigarette Flavors or many many other vendors.

The trick here is to identify your particular device. If you call the 800 number for 21 ask them what the thread pattern of your blackjack is. They may give you an honest answer, and if so then you will know for sure. The other thing you could do is just pick up a package of blanks from a vendor you trust and hope that i am correct about it being an 808. See the model specific area for the kr808-d1. There will most certainly be somone there who could give you more info than I have available.
To the point yes you can purchase your refills somwhere else, as long as you know what device you actually have.

For what its worth the better use of your investment in vaping would be to begin filling your own cartomizers (thats what we have been discussing with the whole "cartridge" question) If you purchase them empty they are easy to fill with liquid. They are also easy to re-fill also. Most folks find a 50% or better saving in purchasing liquid seperate from the cartomizers. Even more so once you get the hang of re-filling or keeping them topped off. I personally use one cartomizer every 4-7 days. I do use alot of liquid. Somwhere between 4-8 milliliters of liquid per day. Average vapers typically use 3-5ml per day. I do not use a high concentration of nicotine, just a lot of liquid. My nicotine in my liquid is 4mg/mililiter. Has been for quite a while. I fluctuate up and down from there but not much.

Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

ok, I will see if i can find out what type of thread it has. even if i am forced to only get the cartridges from 21 century there is a kiosk not far from me, but since i am a stormchaser i often times am all over the midwest chasing severe weather and may not find some place to get refills. I will see about getting refillable cartridges too.

Good morning from another newcomer! I can't tell you enough how wonderful these people have been, most of them don't even know they helped me- I stalked the site for 3 weeks before I joined! I used every bit of info I was given and researched every tip and helpful hint I saw...you will have great support here. I will say I went through 2 of the cig look a likes before I got down to bidness! My 2 cents are, even if you have a look a like you won't hold it the same way neither will you "smoke" it the same way, so you may as well bite bullet and spend the same amount (or less) as you spent at that kiosk for something that will last longer. I won't try to sell you on what I've bought, to each his own, but I will tell you there ARE deals out there, just take a few hours and didicate it to hunting them down. I got an ego t clone starter kit for with 2 bats and all the goodie for 32.99 and a couple bucks shipping. It's only a week old so I won't go on and on about how wonderful it is yet. I have not felt the "NEED" for a real cig since I started this 3 weeks and 6 days ago. Good luck and I wish you well! Keep it up...I've been assured that us newbs will find what we like sooner rather than later, and what we love eventually!

First off congrats at finding a healthier alternative to cigarettes! I first started w/ a Blu ecig and quickly moved to an Ego style kit because the batteries last a LOT longer. If I were you I'd get anything 510 threaded. The options are limitless. I found an ego styles battery w/ 1.7 ohm smoktech resurrector cartos really gave me that satisfying hit that I needed to keep of analogs. Find you some good juice, fill some cartos up and you should be good to go. I'm from Illinois also and am glad I quick smoking escpecially since the price has gone up.. Don't be discouraged and keep on vaping.

Hi Stormchaser

Welcome in the world of vapers. I am pretty much a newbie myself and i dont really have a tip, but i can tell you how i started and my experience on vaping and different sigs.
I smoked normal siggaretes for over 20 years and started vaping about 2 months ago by buying a very cheap kit (20 bucks) at a local store. I kinda liked it and was wondering if there was a e-smoke with a better vape and bigger hit, so i checked the internet and bought a ego kit with juice.
I must say that that was a big improvement compared to the cheap sig i had. So i used that for a few weeks.
But i kinda found that ego a bit bulky alltough it vapes great.
So kinda looked for something else what also vapes nice but a bit smaller in size. So i ended up after a lot of reading, buying a KR808D kit, looks more like a normal sig, vapes pretty good, and is less bulky.
Ofcourse the Ego has a way better vape, but a KR808 does me well enough.
But ofcourse, everyone has a different taste and a different opinion.
Hope you can draw something usefull out of my experience so far.
Vape on :)

Hi stormchaser. Tootle vaporsearch Usa. I would post a link but my Pc needs a new Cpu fan so I'm on the kindle with none of my favorites available. That will give you a us map where you can pick a state and see if the vendors nearby have a storefront.

For what its worth I never ordered anything nonlinear before I began Vaping. With no real vendors in driving distance I have since changed that habit. I have come to be very comfortable with my favorite vendors and have no issues ordering from them. Chances are if they are a vendor here at ECF they have been vetted beyond the point of being even a little questionable.

See you around.
