And overall I'm happier than I thought I would be with it! Got the 14650 as a present to myself for 3 months of non-smoking. Took advantage of the 20% off at Liberty Flights and paid like $45 for it, I think.
After opening the box initially I was a little put off by it's size, even compared to my 1000mah ego, but as I'm getting used to it I really like it. It really rests nicely in your hand, unlike the ego 650's where it feels a bit small. The E-Power is probably about the size of a cigar, and the added width is actually nice. Definitely heavier than an ego by quite a bit too, but not so much that it's bothersome. It also excites me that the cone fits over my clear dual coil.. ego cone doesn't even come close!
You can also really tell a difference between the hit on the ego vs e-power, most notably being the amount of time the coil in the carto takes to heat up. It's almost instant! Even an ego battery fresh off the charger would take half a second or so to really heat up the good ol' Boge 2.0. It's a really nice change. I have yet to kill a battery, but so far the vape across the charge seems pretty consistent. Been vaping the crap out of it for the past 5 or 6 hours.
I have to say though, i'm just a little disappointed with the unfinished metal parts on it - the switch and and the bottom of the battery. The finish on the switch is a fingerprint magnet and just looks a little cheap. Finishing it in something a little nicer would really make it look more attractive. I also feel like a different metal and/or finish would keep the threads on the battery from squealing. I also wish it had a button lockout ala ego-t batteries, that clip they give you to cover the button is a little silly imo. I don't think it would be terribly hard to incorporate either of those into the design, maybe I'm wrong! Maybe I'm expecting too much.
Overall though, very happy with it as far as functionality goes! I can tell already that the 6-month mark for me is gunna have to be something crazy!
Does anyone know where you can get 14650 IMR's?
